Sitting in the same waiting room chair but with Wolf not by her side was so nerve-wracking. She could only imagine his fear around all the machinery... having to be tested, poked and prodded. Her leg started to bounce too, a trait that had rubbed off on her. Scarlet's heart pounded like never before, and suddenly she wanted him close to her again, to feel his warm,  reassuring presence. A howl broke from the doctor's room after what seemed like ages, but was only half an hour. She recongnised that howl. The distinct cry of a wolf, to her anyway. A... a happy wolf ? It filled Scarlet with confusion and worry. Ze'ev? She thought, tensing at sound of the second howl, but no scream like she was used to echoed afterwards. No panic or sirens or guns. Confused for one second, in his arms the next, he whispered in her ear. "I can give us a child. We can have a kid..."

So overcome with emotion, Scarlet could only cry with joy. Tears came flooding down both their faces and she whispered back

"I love you so much Ze'ev, more than you will ever know." She had no idea how much joy she could have felt until things only got happier. She never thought that the happiness she felt on her wedding day could be surpassed until now. The only amount of it that could possibly mean more to her than that day. The day she was officially Wolf's alpha. His mate. Out of all the people in the galaxy, she had found him, and Scarlet couldn't be more thankful.

The doctors and nurses all stood in the background, happy to watch the romantic, joyous scene that they had witnessed after their hard work. The most romantic of couples despite their differences, untied by love and feeling, as well as the power to create.
