Around 5 months later, Chapter 10: Wolf

The due date was coming and Wolf was actually terrified out of his mind. He couldn't wait for the baby to come and everyone happened to be on Earth, so if the baby did come, the whole Rampion crew could be there. The party a few months ago had been incredible and it had made Wolf the happiest he had been in a long time. He wasn't even as happy as this when he had discovered that Lavana was overthrown, when Scarlet said she still wanted him or even when Cinder survived a knife, burried to the hilt in her heart. He couldn't wait and he wasn't afraid to show it.

Every mornig Wolf would comfort Scarlet, give her breakfast in bed (Scar had to teach him how to cook an egg) and relax on the beautiful farm.

This morning was a lot more stressful.

Scar woke up at 4 in the morning to wake Wolf. She wasn't feeling well at all and had already been sick a lot earlier than usual. He had helped her out of bed to get down staires and thats when her water had broken! Wolf had called an ambulance and the others so that they could get to the hospital as soon as possible. Scarlet, who was usually strong, unsurprisingly, stayed strong. She was laid on the sofa by Wolf and took deep, shuddery breaths. The ambualnce came, along with Jacin and Winter. Jacin was quick to arrive as he was a trained doctor himself. Winter was coming back from visiting a hospital in Rieux that had a new batch of leutmosis antidote distributed. Still with Jacin at her side. Wolf's heart was pounding so hard that he couldn't even imagine what his little Scarlet felt like. He quickly and gently laid her into the ambulance and Jacin took over, Winter stroking Scars hand all the while.

When they had arrived at the hospital, Cinder and Kai came in along with Emily who seemed more than little stunned. Cinder and Kai were both wearing royal robes as they came out of a meeting from Paris and got there as fast as they could. Iko was with them but Thorne and Cress lived in Italy at the time and weren't sure how long it would take for them to get there. They promised to take the hovers that got you places as fast as a blink of an eye, but Italy was far enough for it to take at least half an hour.

"Oh Stars" Scarlet said, clutching her stomach. "Aces and Spades!" Wolf rushed over to her, looking Scar in the eyes. "Stars above I sound like Thorne right now..." She chuckled, only to wince from more contractions. The baby was coming and they both knew it. It was a month early too, only another reason for him to worry. He urged her to look into his eyes and distract herself from the pain despite her epidural as Jacin made sure her vitals and stats were even, giving her advice and instructions. Who knew that he had decided to specialize in disease research and whatever giving birth to a chikd was called... Wolf had no idea about anything to do with medicine, but he was trying his best to help Scar through this, as he would everything.
