Violet, Jenna and Elijah are walking and talking about history which is Violet's favorite subject. She loves to hear how things have come to be and Elijah is about a thousand years old so he's lived through pretty much everything.
"Thd old Fell property actually starts just behond that fence." Jenna says as they walk.
"Ah, the Fells. One of the 'Founding Families.'" Elijah says, with a smile.
"Why do you say it like that?" Jenna asks.
"My research showed me that this area was actually settled almost two full centuries earlier. It was a migration of townsfolk from the northeast, um, it was Salem, to be precise." Elijah explains.
"Massachusetts? As in the witch trails?" Violet asks, becoming interested and peers over at Elijah. She's walking on the otherside of him.
"Which means the ever lauded founding families. They didnt actually found anything." Elijah explains.
"Well, I bet it was the men who made a big deal about being founders back in 1860." Jenna says. Something catches Elijah's attention. "Men are very territorial."
"Yes, they are." Elijah agrees as Alaric walks towards them.
"Elijah, this is my friend, Alaric Saltzman." Jenna introduces them.
"Yeah, I got your message about walking Elijah here through the old property lines. I thought I would tag along. You know being a history buff and all." Alaric explains. "Where to next?"
"I'm pretty curious about the freed slave property owners." Elijah replies. "Some say, you know, the descendants of the slaves are the true keepers of American history." Elijah says.
"I only brought the surveys. I got that list in the car. Just give me a sec." Jenna says and heads to her car.
"Alaric Saltzman. So you're one of those people on Elena's list of loved one's to protect." Elijah says.
"So is Jenna and Violet." Alaric says motioning to her.
"You don't have to be jealous. I dont usually pursue younger women." Elijah assures him. Alaric doesnt laugh, he just frowns. "It's a joke, Ric, lighten up."
Violet tries to hold back her laughter by biting her lip.
"Right." Alaric says as Elijah pats him on the shoulder. Violet follows him towards the car.
