Brothers

Mikey's POV:

I was running across the rooftops of New York, my brothers words going through my mind.

"You're just a screw up!"

"Why can't you just focus Mikey?!"

"We don't need you here!"

I closed my eyes and took a heavy breath as a tear ran down my freckled cheek. I usually just brush off their words, let myself forget about it and forgive them. But this time was different. This time something snapped inside of me. It was like I had bottled too much inside and couldn't keep it in any longer. And now I'm here, hiding from my brothers. I couldn't show weakness in front of them. They'll think I'm just a bigger burden to the team than I already am.

I stopped on one of the buildings to catch my breath and sat at the edge looking out over the city, tears still falling down my cheeks. I whimpered.

"Well, well, well... what do we have here?" I turned around to see Rahzar crossing his arms and Fishface snickering right behind him. I immediately stood up, glaring.

"Aww, is the little turtle crying?" Fishface mocked. Rahzar laughed at his comment and I growled while wiping the tears off my face.

"What do you want?" I said lowly, not really in the mood for this.

"Where are your brothers? Did they finally realize how annoying you are and left you for dead?" Rahzar chuckled. My eyes turned dark, his words repeating in my head. I growled, grabbing my nunchucks from my pockets and getting into a fighting stance.

"Ooh, looks like I struck a nerve!" Rahzar said, acting scared.

"Watch out Bradford, he might talk your ear off heh" Fishface crossed his arms. Snickering at his own words. That's it! I launched myself into Fishface, knocking him to the ground. Rahzar growled, realizing I wasn't fooling around. I barely had enough time to get up before Rahzar grabbed me by my feet and hung me upside down.

I screamed, using my nunchucks to cut his face trying to force him to put me down. He eventually threw me across the roof and I rolled to the edge, nearly falling off. I gasped pulling myself up.

I looked to see that Fishface had gotten up and Rahzar looking angrily at me, his face covered in blood from my nunchucks. Fear began to overcome me as Rahzar and Fishface both lunged at me at the same time. I went to jump but I was too late, Rahzar and grabbed me mid-air and held me down to the ground. I screamed. He looked over to Fishface, who seemed to understand what he was suggesting.

"I don't see you're brothers coming to your rescue.." Rahzar said, I glared.

"Why would they? They would only be risking their lives for a dead weight to their team." Fishface added. I closed my eyes, trying to drown them out.

"You thought they loved you, they don't take you seriously. But know this Turtle, they never loved you." Rahzar added in one last comment before he motioned to Fishface. Fishface grinned, showing his sharp teeth. What came next happened so fast I couldn't comprehend what was going on. Fishface lunged toward me and the next thing I knew my arm was flaring with pain. Rahzar has gotten off of me at this point, wanting to watch me struggle. I looked down to see that my arm had been bitten, blood seeping from the wounds from Fishface's teeth.

I looked up to see Fishface grinning like he was before, but this time with my blood staining his teeth. I cringed, remembering the time when he had bit Raph. I began to feel dizzy and had tried to get up. I couldn't let them win, I had to prove to my brothers that they could rely on me. I found one of my nunchucks that had been scattered across the rooftop and tangled Fishface in my chain the best I could, my vision swimming. He screeched in surprise, not thinking I would be able to fight with the venom that had just been put in my system. I tugged with all the strength I could muster and threw him off the building. He screamed as he fell. I turned to see Rahzar's eyes widened, feeling the same shock as Fishface did. I took this to my advantage and threw my chain around his feet, stumbling as I did so. He yelped and I threw him into the dumpster in an alleyway next to the building.
