I woke up to John yelling in his sleep again as I stood up and walked to his room. "John." I said softly and shook him a bit, but he didn't wake up. "John!" I said a bit louder and shook him harshly, causing him to wake up and sit up. He was panting heavily as I rubbed his back. "You had that dream again." I said softly as he laid back down and started to take deep breaths then started to softly cry.

I pulled up the covers and slid in the bed with him to comfort him, whispering how he was going to be alright. He curled against me as I petted his hair softly. After a while, he couldn't fall asleep so he sat up and looked out the window. "I'll go make some breakfast." I said softly as he nodded a little. I stood up and walked to the kitchen to start making food. John used to work in the military in Afghanistan, but was sadly shot in the leg. So, they sent him home to me to take care of him. Ever since then, he's been having dreams about the war.

He walked in the kitchen limping with his cane, and grabbed an apple. I handed him his mug filled with coffee as he gently grabbed it and thanked me before walking to the table. He set them down as I made myself some tea. John pulled out his laptop and opened it up then stared at it. He was a blogger and I a story teller. I write stories in a little jornal of mine. Each time I filled one up, John would be nice enough to buy me a new one for a new story. He is my brother after all, even though I'm in my 30s and he's already got a head full of grey hair.

We are in Doctor Ella's office, John's therapist. They sat in front of each other as I stood beside the window and looked out, watching birds fly. "How's your blog coming?" She asked as I turned to look at them. "Yeah, good. Very good." John said as he cleared his throat and glanced at me. "You haven't written a word, have you?" Ella asked, glancing at me as well. She thought it would be a good idea if John blogged about things to try and help forget about the past.

"You just wrote, 'Still has trust issues.'" John said, gesturing to her notepad. "And you read my writing upside down. You see what I mean?" She asked as John gave a quick smile. "John,...you're a soldier. And it's going to take you a while to adjust to civilian life. And writing a blog about everything that happens to you will honestly help you." Ella said as I walked over and stood beside John's chair. "Nothing happens to me." John said he looked at Ella. "I'll help him out." I said with a kind smile.

We were walking through the park as I thought it may help clear John's head. It was a beautiful day out and nice temperature too as it wasn't too hot or too cold. We walked by a bench with a familiar looking man, who got up. "John! John and Iris Watson!" He said as we stopped and turned around to look at him. He was had a khaki coat, glasses, and a red, yellow, and green tie. "Stamford, Mike Stamford. We were at Barts together. "Yes, sorry." John said as he leaned on his cane for support.

"Yes, Mike, hello." I said sweetly with a smile as we shook hands with him. "Yeah, I know, I got fat." He joked as I giggled softly. "No no." I said as I held my hands behind my back with a smile. "I heard John was abroad somewhere getting shot at. What happened?" He asked as he looked at John. "I got shot." John said with a smile and gestured to his leg. I walked away to a cart as John and Miked talked a bit. I ordered some tea and coffee for both of the boys.

They were sitting on the bench as I came back and handed them their drinks. "Thank you." Mike said as I nodded. "Thank you, Iris." John said as I smiled and sat beside him, quickly grabbing his can before it hit the ground. We sat in silence as I watched the pigeons eat crumbs off the ground. "Are you still at Barts then?" John asked as he looked at him. "Teach now. Yeah, bright young things like we used to be. God, I hate them." Mike said as we started to laugh softly.
