Dark's Point of View
I couldn't describe the interesting—or rather strange being the better definition in this scenario—emotion settled in my chest when I wake up that next morning to find (Y/n) curled against me. A strange rhythm that fell into place of my old heartbeat at her head laying on my chest, her hair puffed about from nudging her head slightly every so often, her hands rested on my chest and my waist, holding me to her. Her legs entangled with mine as a peaceful expression falls over her face, creases wiped away and lips parted, the corners just slightly uplifted. It was even stranger when I found my arms wrapped around her, holding her to me by her waist and the other casually settled on her thigh.
What the hell?
Unsure of how to move and not wanting to, I take the time to gaze down at her, outlining the delicate details of her face as she sleeps silently. Soft cheeks that curved in a permanent smile, her nose a perfect fit for her face. Stands of (H/c) brush upon her face, the morning light shadowing them across her cheeks and neck, spiraling down her back. Full, lush lips that were slightly reddened from her chewing on them in thought. Her lips.
Why am I so tempted to kiss them?
My thumb brushes softly across her lower lip, feeling her soft skin under the pad of my fingertip. Her warm breath tickles my knuckles as I find myself inches away from her, my lips just brushing hers as my lids lower, darkness filling my vision.
Suddenly, the darkness is exploded with flashes of white and red.
Pain scorches my face, mainly my nose as a gasp can be heard, followed by a deep grunt that belonged to me. I sit up abruptly as I open my eyes to find (Y/n) backing away slightly, her hands cupped over her mouth in shock.
Her eyes widen fearfully at me. "Oh God, Dark, I'm so sorry," she breathes, shaking her head as she reaches out to me, her cool fingers grazing painfully across my face. "I didn't know who you were for a moment and I panicked and—oh my God, I'm so sorry."
I brush my hand across my face to find my nose at an odd angle, stinging with a sharp pain as my fingers are coated in blood. She broke my nose. "Did you just punch me?" I ask.
Her eyes stay wide, terror filling them as she nods. "I'm sorry," she pleads, her hair falling over her face as she scoots away a little. "I just wake up to find someone's face really close and I didn't know or remembered what happened so I just kinda," she pauses, suddenly bashful. "Yeah."
I raise an eyebrow at her. "Yeah?"
"Yeah."
She cringes away, afraid I might snap at her as I throw my head back, laughing. She stares at me oddly as I double over, clutching my stomach as muscles cramp from such emotion. I take a moment to gather myself, wiping away an imaginary tear and sitting up. I feel my nose quietly snap into place, the blood receding, using my shirt to wipe away the excess remains. "God, you're really something else, kid."
Her eyebrows spike at me. "Kid?"
I smirk at her, a warm feeling settling in my chest. "What? I'm older than you, so doesn't that give me a right to say that?"
She shrugs, biting her lip in thought. "Yeah, but that's something friends say to each other, isn't it?"
"I thought we agreed we were friends."
Her cheeks darken, the memories replaying in her mind as she nods, her rosy lips forming a silent 'oh'. "Right. Friends."
I didn't realize how close we were leaning in towards each other until I cough, leaning back as I swing my legs over the bed. "Come on. You're probably really hungry, and I can smell Anti cooking breakfast."
