Chapter 4

Nagulat ako ng iliko ni Lyndon ang sasakyan sa isang sikat na coffee shop. At para bang alam niya ang iniisip ko ay ngumisi siya at nagsalita.

"I'm kinda hungry. The last time I ate was like 3 or 4 hours ago. Lunch," he explained while parking his car. I must give him an A+ for his driving skills.

"Lemme help you with that," Lyndon said then leaned towards me to help me with my seat belt. Kalahati lang ng mukha niya ang nakikita ko (side view) pero he's quite too near to me. I can even smell his manly scent. I tried my hardest not to sniff too much.

"There you go. It was quite easy though. We're you just faking it to make a move on me?" he teased me. My eyebrow immediately raised. Such confidence.

"As if, you're too conceited. Do you know that?" I counter attacked him. He just chuckled a little. Gah, he really is good-looking.

Pumasok na kami sa loob ng coffee shop. Naupo lang ako at sinabi sa kanyang I don't have anything I want since I just ate with my blockmates earlier. He didn't say anything and just walked towards the the counter so I just waited patiently. I took my phone out of my bag and plugged in my earphones.

Katie, don't cry, I know

You're trying your hardest

And the hardest part is letting go...

I smiled while listening to Mayday Parade's Miserable At Best. I used to relate to this song so much and now I'm just laughing over it.

As if on cue, Lyndon placed his order on our table then sat in front of me. Sakto ang pagdating niya sa chorus ng kanta.

So let's not pretend like you're alone tonight

(I know he's there and)

You're probably hanging out and making eyes

(While across the room he stares)

I'll bet  he gets the nerve to walk the floor

And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes...

I noticed that he placed a frappe in front of me.

"I told you I don't want anything," I told him while slightly smiling. "Thanks though," I added up.

"As if I'll let a girl watch me eat while she's not," he explained then sipped from his coffee. Ooh, a person who's not into decafs.

I just flashed him a smile and I took a sip from my frappe. I looked outside the window, still listening to Mayday Parade's Miserable At Best.
