"you've seen my descent,
now watch my rising"
ᛡᛡᛡIT WAS EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN Juliet finally decided to get out of bed. She was exhausted, and the day hadn't even started. Looking around, she was the first out of all the girls to get up. Juliet rolled her eyes at the realization. Slowly, she pulled out her robes and emerald striped tie. The girl walked into the bathroom with her things in her hands and got in the shower. It was all she needed to wake herself up.
After finishing her shower and getting dressed, her wet hair resided in a bun on the top of her head. Walking out back into the room, all the girls were still asleep. It was 6 in the morning. Juliet smiles and grabbed her school back, planning a trip to the library, knowing that she would be the only person there. Leaving the room as quietly as possible, she practically skipped towards the commons room exit. The Slytherin girl made her way happily to finish Beauty and the Beast.
The library was silent. The only sound was her footsteps making their way to the place where she left the book. Her grin became larger as it was in the exact spot she left it. "Perfect," She mumbled with joy. Sitting down she opened the book and let it absorb her attention completely.
Close to the end of the book, she was tapped on the shoulder gently. Juliet jumped and turned around to be greeted by Severus Snape. He was a rather quiet boy who was in the same year as her. "I saw you talking to Lupin yesterday." He had an accusing glare. Juliet rolled her eyes went back to her book. "I don't need you trying to make a big deal of that," It was too early for Juliet to fight with Severus. "Trying? Jules, he's blood traitor and a half-blood!" Severus hissed with his teeth clenched. "When did you start caring so much about that? If I remember correctly, you're still friends with a Muggle-born! Who, by the way, treats you so damn better than the rest of the bloody twats in our house." Juliet was not having Severus's attitude.
"It sounds like you're trying to defend him," Severus couldn't believe what he was hearing. She had no right bringing Lily into this to prove her point. "You're acting bloody ridiculous right now, Sev," Juliet didn't try to hide her annoyance. "You know how those boys act, Jules. Stay away from them, they won't bring you any good." Severus warned her before turning around and starting to walk away. "All of this because of a two minute conversation forced by the Marauders." Juliet groaned as she leaned back into her chair.
Juliet remained in the Library for another hour before making her way to the Great Hall. She was already irritated and tired. "What a great start to the rest of the year. Flipping fantastic." Juliet kept mumbling under her breath as she walked. Stepping into the hall, she looked at the Slytherin table in hope of see Narcissa, but she wasn't there. Juliet was tempted to just make her way back to the commons room, but decided against since she was already at the hall. Juliet glanced around the rest of the room and stopped when she saw the same boy with brown hair and soft caramel eyes from last night. Even if his friends did force him over towards her, he seemed... Sweet.
Juliet let her gaze linger for a few moments before he looked up at her and smiled at her softly. Juliet quickly averted her eyes and made her way to her table. When sat down and settled herself, she noticed he was glancing up at her every now and then. "Stop it, he's a Gryffindor, and a Marauder..." She mumbled to herself trying to stop focusing on him.

"So, Moony, wanna tell your best mates why you and Ms. Mysterious Slytherin were having a stare off this morning?" James Potter, a boy with messy black hair and glasses asked his friend with a teasing tone. "I- I don't know what you mean, Prongs," Remus stuttered slightly at his friends mention of this mornings breakfast event. "Oh, come on, Moony, we all saw it!" Sirius Black, another one of Remus's close friends, continued teasing him. "I've talked to her once, boys, and that was last night after you lot practically threw me towards her!" Remus defended himself.
Peter Pettigrew watched as his two friends teased Remus with a smile. "You have always seemed slightly interested with her," Peter's words were met with sounds of agreement from James and Sirius and a loud groan from Remus. "Not you too!" The three boys laughed as Remus rubbed his face dramatically. "I'm going to bed," Remus told the boys before quickly standing up and walking towards the boys dorms. James, Sirius, and Peter all shouted in disbelief but Remus just ignored them.

Juliet sat in her normal seat for Potions as her professor Horace Slughorn went on and on about why he had a particular favorite potion to brew. Juliet had her potions book out in front of her as she took notes on what Slughorn was supposed to be teaching today. Her quill worked effortlessly against her paper as her cursive handwriting made its way to the page.
Suddenly, she felt a piece of paper hit her arms. Turning her attention to the folded up paper, she opened it and read what was written. 'Can we talk?' Was all it said. Juliet looked in the direction from which it came from and saw Remus Lupin staring at her with a small dorky smile. Behind and next to him were his friends who were talking amongst themselves, not even paying attention to what Remus had just done. Juliet look back at the note and had a smile ghost her lips.
'sure' Was all she replied with.
