Faint voices crept into my ear . Two....males? It sounded like .
Why is it so dark ?
" My child " a voice states , then a mysterious light appears .
" Jesus?" Was the lord talking to me ?
" chile no it's your grandmotha'" the voice said , then a body appeared and it was indeed her.
" mama what's going on ? Why am i here ?"
She shook her head and wore a frown on her face until she stated " just listen baby "
Then those same two voices came in .
" Mr.Powers , she had many injuries. A brain bleed , from the force of a steel object , her left eye has been temporarily blinded , she has 3 broken ribs on her right side , and 2 broken fingers . She's also in a coma , there's a machine in here that's breathing for her We'll update you as she progresses , which we're sure she will . "
" alright doctor thank you , i know y'all are doing are doing y'all are doing your best " i heard the man state . Then the voices faded out .
" am i dead ?" I stated softly .
My grandma looked at me then responded " take a walk with me"
So we walked , in a sea of nothingness . It felt like hours .
Suddenly she stopped . " this is it , you have to make a choice . Keith is a good boy . You have to choose to stay or go chile "
" Keith ? What?" I questioned .
I heard a voice fade in " please mikaila , please"
My mind had an internal fight . But i knew rightfully where my place was .
As soon as i opened my eye , the lights blinded me .
I found a sleeping man in the chair next to my bed clutching my hand tight as ever .
A feeling of comfortability washed over me . Whoever this man was , he must've meant something great to me .
I groaned at the bright light in my eye .
The mystery man jumped up and we locked eyes . His stare felt familiar .
" Mikaila , your awake . Thank god . I thought I'd never see you again " he breathed out .
I went to speak but there was still a tube in my mouth. I started coughing to let him know to take the tube out.
Nurses came in and disposed of it , then left out the room once again to get the doctor .
"Wa-water P-pl-please" i struggled , to get out .
The man jumped up once again , to get what i asked for
After taking a few sips i put the cup down .
I wonder how long it's been . It feels like years .
" it's been 2 months " the man says smiling , as if he read my mind.
I took a minute to observe him , he looked a nice .
