She had the key to his heart
But she did not want it anymore
In anger he grabbed her by the hair
Casting her to the floorI returned to find flashing lights
And broken tape
Running inside I feared that
I would be too late
The police stopped me at the door
I pushed past them
The images will remain me
forever more
Her body laid slumped over the table
I felt faint and unstableHer freedom had only just begun
He stared across the kitchen at me
I screamed "what have you done?
I launched out in anger in my stride
He coward behind the officers
I was determined that he had
nowhere to hide
My blood boiled,
my emotions grew high
I was confused with questions
Why do you want her to die?
All she ever did was love you
And this is what you doA month later
Inside the court walls
The jury decided that on this day
That my dad would be locked away
Without any more questions
And without doubt
I hope they never let him out
