Through failed interviews
Our chances felt frayed
Redundancies a plenty
And all of that planning we'd made
I wanted so badly to get us a home
To work every hour possible
So we had a place to call our own
But times remained difficult
Constantly wishing for a call
That would open up new beginnings
And bring us up from the fall
Saving becomes a burden
As something always appear
Just as we get a chance up the ladder
Our opportunity disappears
Nothing seems to be working
But I swear to you I won't give in
For this maybe a struggle
But I'm determined for us to win
Because I want to give you everything
A beginning middle and end
We still have much to fight for
And who knows what is around the next bend
