The day the doctors told me
Life and mind changed forever
Within seconds of a calming breeze
The winds altered the weather
A storm is coming they said
One that is attacking you from within
We can help you as much as possible
But sadly i don't think you'll win
I looked into the mirror
My face pale and white
From now I had to tell you
Because lying didn't feel right
All I wanted was to protect you
From the truth that was full of fear
It's like you've been cheated
As reality becomes all to clear
So now I lay my cards
down upon the table
And await the unforgiving inevitable
