***(This is a bonus chapter)***

I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as I stood at the entrance, taking in the grandeur of the library. The towering shelves stretched endlessly, disappearing into the distance, filled with countless books waiting to be explored. It was a paradise for any book lover, and I couldn't wait to immerse myself in its vast collection.

As I ventured further inside, my eyes widened at the sheer magnitude of knowledge that surrounded me. The library seemed to have a life of its own, whispering stories and secrets from every corner. The hushed murmurs of fellow patrons created a symphony of intellectual curiosity, adding to the ambiance that made this place truly magical.

The architecture was equally impressive; high ceilings adorned with intricate moldings and chandeliers cast a warm glow over the rows upon rows of books. Sunlight streamed through stained glass windows, painting vibrant patterns on the polished wooden floors. It felt like stepping into another world entirely, where time stood still and imagination knew no bounds. It reminded me of those fancy libraries you see in movies. But I didn't have time to stand there and stare at it, as beautiful as it was. I needed to remember it for later.

Ugh, I was so tired of hearing about fated mates and all that stuff. It was getting me nowhere. They taught us all this in school, but I wanted to know the real secrets. Where could they possibly hide that kind of information? Maybe there was a secret room or something.

As I looked up, I saw an old lady who looked exactly like what you'd expect a librarian to look like. It was like she came straight out of a librarian catalog or something. I rolled my eyes and walked up to her. "Excuse me, where do you keep your old books? You know, the ones from before things changed?"

She peered at me over her glasses and replied, "I don't know what you're talking about, young lady. Everything we have is on the shelves." Then she went back to her computer.

I couldn't believe it. I let out a frustrated growl. "Don't lie to me, lady. I know things used to be different. So just tell me where they are!" I said through gritted teeth. Just then, a younger lady walked up.
Hey Grandma, why don't you go grab some lunch? I'll handle this. The older lady smiled and gently patted the younger girl's hand.

You're so kind to me, Gabriella. The young girl smiled back as her grandma walked away.

Listen, I can get you inside the room, but if you get caught, I don't want any trouble coming my way. Gabriella whispered. Got it?

I must have looked really surprised because she pulled on my arm. Um... yeah, I understand. It's all on me. Can I ask why you're helping me?

Only a few people know the truth, and honestly, more people should know. It wasn't always like this. How can you control everyone if they have knowledge, you know? She glanced back at me. This girl is smarter than people give her credit for.

Thank you.

Don't thank me until you're out of there. If you can take pictures of things you think are important, then leave. You only have thirty minutes, well, even less now.

Before I knew it, we were at the end of a row of books, and there was a small hidden door. You wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't know what to look for. She took out the keys and unlocked it.
As I entered the room, it was really dark, so I took out my phone to use its flashlight. The smell of old books filled the air, which made me feel excited because I'm a bit of a nerd. I pushed that thought aside and started searching.

It felt like I had been in there for hours before finally finding something. I had been watching my children suffer for years, feeling lonely and isolated. Their numbers were getting smaller and smaller, and I couldn't let that continue. I wanted them to be happy, to live together in groups, and to be loved even when they didn't think they deserved it. So, I decided to change things. But when I turned to the page I found, it was completely blank. There was nothing else there. I quickly took a photo and left.

I opened the door slowly and closed it as quietly as possible. That's when I heard the angry voice of the man who had entered the council's house with me.

"Where is she? She's not supposed to be wandering the grounds alone!" he shouted.

I tried to stay calm and said, "Sir, if she's here, you should look around. This is a library, and it would be great if you could keep your voice down." It was Gabriella's voice.

"Hey, no need to take your anger out on the young lady. I'm right here. As you can see, I haven't gone anywhere," I said, trying to defuse the situation.

He growled in frustration. "It's time for you to leave. The council has changed their minds about letting you stay any longer."

"Okay, calm down, Fido. I was done anyway. What I'm looking for isn't here," I replied, nodding at Gabriella as he grabbed my arm and dragged me out.

"Don't ever disrespect me in front of someone else like that," he growled again as he continued pulling me towards my Jeep.

"You won't be seeing me again, so there's no chance of me doing that, Fido," I said, knowing that I was only going to make him angrier. His claws dug into my arm, and I tried not to whimper.

"Not so tough now, are you?" he sneered, shoving me towards my Jeep. "Stay there while I grab the keys," he grumbled.

I really wanted to punch this prick, but I needed to get out of here before they caught on to anything. So I just climbed into my Jeep after Mr. Fido shoved them at me. I started my car and headed to the gate.

Finally, after about thirty minutes, I was getting to the end of territory. I rolled down my window and shouted,

"Thanks for the escort, Mr. Fido!" I heard him let out a massive growl after I had crossed territory boundary. All I could do was snicker as I waved.
