Big boy

Ethan has been such a good little boy all day, helping me with chores, taking naps when he's supposed to, eating all his food and he even fed himself today.

Normally If Ethan is between the ages of 3-4 he will sleep in his baby room. But when he's a lot littler like between 1-3 he will sleep in my bed.

I figured by just the way he was acting, that today he will probably sleep in his baby room because he doesn't seem as little today and he seems as if he could be independent enough to sleep by himself for the night, it will also give me time to relax and i mean he has that room for a reason so he's not gonna sleep in my room all the time if he's got a perfectly good room himself.

" bubba would you like to sleep in your big boy bed tonight "

" mommy I don't know " he said unsure.

" baby you've been such a big boy today helping mommy out I think you should have a whole room to yourself it's really nice and cosy "

" I know it's cosy momma I just think I'll miss you because sometimes I get scary dreams and you might not be there to protect me from the monsters "

" Ethan I'm only in the room next door remember if you need anything just come to me but I assure you that you'll be fine honey "

" okay mommy, is it bath time now "

" yes it is darling, I'm gonna start running it now baby get undressed and I'll get you sorted alright "

" alright " he replied.

He was sitting there all cute, with a towel covering the whole of his body and another one round his neck, he shivered from the coldest of the tiles on his what was warm feet.

His hair was soaking and he likes when I blow dry it so I grabbed the hair dryer and plugged it in. I began drying his locks from the top of his head down to his wings, to his crown and down to the back of his neck.

He was making funny faces in the mirror in front of us that made both of us laugh.

" okay bubba all done " I say brushing my fingers through his soft curls.

" Thankyou mommy "

We both head into his room and he instantly jumps up onto his bed and closes his eyes, i kiss his nose and tuck him in.

" goodnight baby "

" night night mommy love you can't wait to see you in the morning "

I almost melted at what he said to me.

" I can't wait to see you in the morning as well baby, have a nice sleep I love you too "

And we blew kissing to each other when I was getting up to leave his room.

I love my baby.
