Chapter 75: The Smile That He Remembers

PERSEUS' POV

Her smiles want me to smile too kaso pagkatapos non wala na akong maiimik.

I wonder who really she is.

Pagkaupo ko dun sa sinasabi nung 'Tita Helia' ay agad nilang chineck ang  heartbeat at kung ano ko pa.

They wear something on my head then when she pushed the button, it made a great impact inside my head.

Nakakasakit na ewan kaya napahawak ako ng mahigpit sa arm ng upuan.

"P-perseus. Tiis lang, konti na lang..."

Then a light suddenly blinded me.  A memory flash and it shows...a beautiful girl who's smiling in front of me and...and...and...

it suddenly disappears.

Nang imulat ko ang mata ko. I saw Andromeda who looks like the girl that I have seen.

Tama...

Sya nga rin yon.

"I'm right. His memories are lost and he can only remember himself but not his experience." sabi nung isa pang Tita.

"Hey Perseus, ano nararamdaman mo? Tell us what you saw." they asked.

"It's a bit painful and I saw...a girl." nakatungo kong sabi

Tumunghay ako then I looked at Andromeda...

"You are that girl..." tuloy ko.

"Wow, Lluvia. You are the key to this, girl." sabi nila.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"You have to help Perseus to recover his memories and you are the only one that can help him to do that. Well, ikaw lang naman naalala nya after this test." they stated.

"O-ok." sabi nya saka parang kinakabahang tumingin sa akin.

"Can you please tell me first, kung sino ba talaga ako? And kung sino ba talaga kayo?" I suggested.

"That's right. That's right. I am Helia Han. You're mother's bestfriend. Call me Tita, ok?" the one with the bright smile said.

Tumango ako saka ngumiti sa kanya.

"Wait, who's my mother then?" I asked

"I am. I'm Esmeralda Vounche and our story is complicated so you probably remember me as your enemy." she said then gives me a smile too.

"I'll call you Mom, right?" I asked.

Hindi ko alam kung natouch ba sya sa sinabi ko or ano.

"O-of course..." she answered.

Then lastly, I looked at Andromeda.

"Lluvia Andromeda Gou. That's my full name a-and...yeah..That's all." she said while looking at me without any emotion.

I can feel that she wanted to say something pero may pumipigil sa kanya.

Tita Helia broke the silence as she coughs.

"Oops, sorry. By the way, can I talk to you Perseus?" Tita Helia said

Tumango naman ako. I really need someone to explain and I think Tita Helia is the right person.

Well, it looks like she's the one who knew my story the most.

May sinabi pa sya sa dalawa pagkatapos ay inakbayan ako paalis.

"Hmm here.. eat this." she said as he hands over the nuts.

"Thanks. Uhm, T-tita Helia right?" tanong ko saka inabot ang inaalok nya

"Yup" she saids then salute.

"S-sino ba talaga ako?"

After talking with Tita Helia, my head literally aches because of what I've heard. I never knew that my life is that complicated.

Kaya nandito na ulit ako sa kwarto mag-isa. Pinagpapahinga nya ako but I was trying to recover my memories.

Pero p-puro konting bagay lang naalala ko....

She said that when I was a baby, I have this unknown & rare health case and they need to place me inside the machine so I can survive.

Then I became a virtual because of Andromeda's mom. She said that I live almost of my year with Andromeda. Nasabi din yang wala na pala parehas ang magulang nya.

So that's why her image is the only one that I can remember but the memories with her...I lost it all.

Natigil ako sa pag-iisip ng marinig ko ang pagbukas ng pinto.

It's Andromeda carrying a tray of food.

"Dinner." she said as she puts the tray down on the table.

"Nakakain ka na?" I asked.

She take a sit first at the chair before answering,

"Yup." matipid nyang sagot.

Kinuha ko ang tray ng pagkain at pinatong sa lap ko.

"So you're just gonna watch me eat?" nagbibiro kong tanong.

"Pwede naman akong umalis." sabi nya at akmang aalis nga.

"E? N-no.. Stay there. I'm just kidding." I said as I pout.

"O-ok.."

Sumubo ako ng ilang kutsara bago ko pa maisipang magsalita.

"Tita Helia told me everything but she said that most of my life I'm with you. Kaya pwedeng may ilang experience pang hindi nya nababanggit sa akin." sabi ko sa kanya

She looks at me with her tired eyes.

"Your whole life with me? Well, it's you who's stucked in the screen with me doing random things. That's all." she simply mouthed.

Is she serious with that?

"Y-yun lang talaga?" tanong ko.

"I love games. I mean video games. Ayaw ko masyado lumalabas except if you're the one who wants me to go out. I seldom attend school. I don't have any friends. It just me and you." sabi pa nya.

"T-tapos?"

"Nagbago lahat 'yon after we played a game. Virtual game where we go to your world. It just happens na death game pala 'yon but we survived successfully and that's where most of my favorite memories with you happened." sabi nya pa.

"D-death game?" I confusely asked.

"Yeah, gawa ng Mom mo—"

Napahawak ako bigla sa ulo ng maramdaman ang kirot rito.

"Perseus! A-ayos ka lang ba?!"  nagpapanic nyang tanong.

My vision suddenly became blurry. That's why, I decide na ipikit muna ang mga mata ko.

But as I close my eyes.

I saw myself talking to a girl with a flower behind her ears.

"My Andromeda?"

"A-ano yun?"

"Nagsisisi ka ba?"

"About what?"

"About being trap here in this death game. I think it's still my fault dahil ako naman ang may gusto nito at the first place." I said looking down. "I know it's a little cruel that upon all the world that will let us be together; dito pa talaga sa death world."

"It's never your fault. I admit that it is scary being stuck in a death game, but if it is with you, I'll never regret it." she said while smiling.

A smile that really makes my heart beat so fast...
