****Charlie’s Point of View****

Another day at the new school, whoopee for me! Luckily Laura asked me if I wanted to go shopping with her this afternoon, which will be good. I like her, she seems like a lot of fun. Her entire group seems like a lot of fun actually. We got on well together, we mixed well, it was kinda like we had been friends for years.

“Hey Charlie, we’re over here!”  

Laura was calling to me from down the corridor and surprise, surprise; Chad had his arm slung over her while he was talking to Mike and Lucy.

Walking over I noticed someone was looking at me from further down and glancing up, I saw it was Austin. O God, I thought to myself, his eyes were absolutely amazing!

What do I do! Arghh, we have eye contact, but I don’t know what to do! I’s such an idiot!

Damn Charlie, why do you have to be so stupid, wave say hi, do something! You’re making yourself looking like an idiot!

Luckily he waved to me just as the thought went through my mind. I waved back, smiled and continued walking towards Laura. When I got there, however, everyone was looking at me.

“What?!”

“O Charlie, you’re so cute!” Laura said while chuckling to herself. “You have been here for a day, and you are already frothing over the quarter back!”

“I am not, we’re just friends. We spoke in class yesterday and –”

“Don’t lie to me” she interrupted me, laughing amongst the group. “You’re blushing like there is no tomorrow, and you couldn’t keep your eyes off him yesterday at lunch!” That was it, they all burst out laughing.

How does she know!!! Am I that obvious? Does he know? Oh crap!

“Whatever, fine. Maybe a little, but I won’t get a second glance from him and I only have him in one of my classes so far, how am I meant to talk to him?”

“Let me handle that.” And with that she grabbed my hand and pulled me along behind her.

****Austin’s Point of View****

Damn she’s hot! I thought to myself. As soon as I saw her, I completely zoned out of the conversation I was having with some of the boys about the big game.

The way she held herself, the way she walked, the way she looked, I couldn’t keep my eyes off her. Today her long hair was down and over her one shoulder. It went to about her elbows and had the cutest little wave in it.

God, dude, pull it together. She is the new kid! Probably has a boyfriend! I quietly scolded myself.

She was walking to what appeared to be her new group. I hadn’t really ever spoken to them, but they seemed cool.

Our gaze met and locked. She had crystal blue eyes that were enticing. I smiled at her and gave her a small wave. She smiled at me and waved back, just before dropping my gaze and walking over to her friends.

“Dude, who’s the babe you’re drooling over” Jason asked with a smirk

“Her names Charlie, she seems cool.”

Cool, is that the best way I can describe what I think of her. Idiot.

“You going to ask her to the party at mine of Friday? The rents are out of town for the weekend so its par-tay time.” He cried high fiving me

“Yer? You think I should ask her? What if she has a boyfriend though? A girl like her, single, I don’t think so.”

“Man, just ask her. You are like one of the heart throbs of this entire school, anyone would go with you, and if you don’t ask her, I’m gonna have to go in and take the kill”

Why did he have to do that, really?! Grab his crotch and do something I don’t even want to describe. He could be sick, but, we are teenage boys after all so I just laughed!

“Wow, slow down big boy. I will just, give me time!”

“I give you a day!”

“Really, a day? Whatever, I have to get to class, see you guys at lunch.”

Guess I better ask her today then; I will slip her note in English, which is 2 classes away. Baby, get prepared!
