The first week of school was cool. Everyone got to talk, meet one another, eat! It was a chill time. The teacher warned them that the second week wouldn't be so easy. They would be starting PE that week. Midoriya invited the entire class to his sister's bakery over the weekend. Everyone said of course, who would pass up the chance to eat pastries?!
Shoto had to decline as he was visiting his mother. Instead of canceling plans or just going without him, they changed plans to go in the afternoon so he could go along. He had flowers and new clothes for his mom.
"Oh hello Shoto." She said. She rubbed her eyes and stared at him.
"Hi."
"How's school? You didn't seem so happy to be going last week." She asked. Shoto opened his mouth to speak but his face flushed and nothing came out. Rei began to tease him. "Does my baby have a crush on somebody?" She laughed and giggled. He smiled.
"No, I was invited to go out with a few classmates and it made me... really really happy..." he said. She put her hands over her mouth and began to squeal. She was excited and began to stamp her legs. She was so happy her son made a few friends.
"You made a friend! That's so amazing Shoto! When are you going out?" She asked and put a hand on his arm. She sat on her chair and smiled.
"Later this evening. About three." He described.
"Ooh Ooh! Where are you going?" She squealed.
"We're going to this famous bakery. This kid's sister owns it so he gets in quicker than most people." He described. Rei was so happy to speak with her son.
"So, Fuyumi said you were flustered about a girl the entire week! Who, what's she look like?" She was peppier than Ashido and Hagakure. That was near impossible.
"I was not flustered! I just wanted to know who she was!" He blushed, clearing his name, "She's the daughter of the Yaoyorozu's. Black eyes, black hair."
"Oh! Momoko? I met her once before. She was so sweet, only a few months older than you!" Rei said. The two kept speaking. Eventually it was time for him to meet up with his 'friends'.
"Good bye mom. I'll be back tomorrow." He said and kissed her cheek. He walked towards the park they were all told to meet in and waited for the rest of the group. Iida and Yaoyorozu were already there.
"Oh! Hello Todoroki!" Tenya said. He did a weird arm shake. No one knew why he did it, it just looked funny. Shoto waved calmly and saw everyone else walk over only three minutes later. They walked a block away and saw a long line.
Izuku having privileges, skipped the line with twenty something other kids. Rikido, Yuga, Mezo, Koji, And Minoru had to decline the invite for something important. They shrugged when they said so since, it was last minute.
They pushed the tables together and sat down. The woman that owned the cafe wasn't in the room at the moment. Izuku just smiled and an employee waved and walked over to them.
"Would you like to order?"
"What the hell kind of bakery is this?" Shoto whispered, "I'll have a vanilla cupcake."
Everyone ordered.
"My sister wanted a cafe, but with a restaurant vibe. She makes the cupcakes and pastries herself, but there's like a machine back there and it cooks them in an instant." Izuku explained.
"That's called an oven, Stupid Deku!" Bakugo growled.
"Actually it called a solar oven. It bakes the items with blue flames, only in the oven for five seconds. Then I burn my hands." A woman's voice said. She had long mint green hair and emerald eyes. She rested a hand on her hip and one on the table. She had a sassy stance.
