The Rouge

Chapter 1

Flashback 9 year old Eden

"Daddy where is Jeremiah and Lucian going." My father looked down at me "It is none if you concern go back to the others." And since my father is Alpha there was no arguing. But I didn't want to go home my other 6 brothers , Gabriel, Austin, Michael, Jacob, Ellis, and Ryder went hunting with some of the other men from our pack. As I was walking home I started getting a bad feeling in my gut. I knew I would get in trouble for this but I had to do it.

I looked around to see if anyone was watching and I went behind a tree and took off my layers of clothing and hid them by the tree and quickly changed into my wolf form. I didn't want to be caught by my father so I went the long way around the village.

I always loved changing into my wolf I felt free, running through the forest, but this time it was different. I stopped for a few moments to catch a scent in the air to find any sign of my 2 oldest brothers.

Eventually I found there scent and started running toward it. The smell was getting stronger so I started to slow down but then I caught another smell. I could smell a pack of rouges coming from the east side of the forest. "Jeremiah. Lucian. Where are you?!" I knew I shouldn't have tried to contact them but I felt like I needed to.

"EDEN!" It was Lucian and he was pissed. And I knew he would be. "Lucian all of you need to come back home now there is..." "WE KNOW WHAT IS COMING EDEN BUT YOU NEED TO GET HOME YOU ARE GOING TO GET HURT! GO BACK TO ELLIS AND RYDER!" My brother interrupted me. "They are not home they went hunting." I waited for Lucian to respond but instead I heard something coming towards me.

At first I thought it would be Lucian but instead I came face to face with an unfamiliar wolf. One of the rouges I smelled earlier. I wasn't scared of him but I definitely did not want to fight him. I have fought Lucian before but when wolves become rouge they became stronger, faster, and more dangerous and no one knows why.

He bounded towards me, I quickly moved out of the way but just barley. The wolf was to fast and didn't realize that I wasn't in front if him anymore until he went face first into a tree. I used that to my advantage and quickly jumped on his back but it wasn't effecting him. He flung me off his back and then I end up hitting a tree.

I was to weak to move and he was coming towards me. This was how I was going to die I closed my eyes waiting for him to strike but nothing came. I open my eyes and see the wolf lying in front of me with blood coming out of his throat I look around and I see my brother Jeremiah's gray wolf standing in front of me with blood dripping from his mouth. "Eden why don't you do what you are told and go home?! You could have gotten hurt or worse killed!" I saw Lucian bounding towards us. "Lucian take Eden back to father and then come right back we are not finished out here."

Jeremiah looked at me and growled and I knew he was angry but also he was glad I was okay. I knew the punishment from my father would be worse than him turning into a wolf and growling at me. The walk back home was quiet. All that was going through my mind was next time I will not cower back in fear, next time I will fight back.
