7 years later

Ever since I was able to change into a wolf I love to run through the forest. The wind blowing through my fur and a little taste of freedom that I knew I would never be able to have.

As daughter of the Alpha of one of the most feared packs in America I wasn't allowed to go out very often. I wasn't allowed to go to school, (not that I really wanted to I knew everything I needed to know). I wasn't allowed to leave the forest in which I grew up in and I was not allowed to go near other packs territory.

So when I got to run through the forest I felt a little bit of freedom. 'Eden where are you! You need to get home right now!' The mind connection every wolf has with each other creeps me out. Especially when my father talks to me he sounds like he is right behind me, it creepy. 'I just went for a run I will be back in the village in 4 minutes' I waited for him to respond but he said nothing more. So I started running enjoying my last bit of freedom.

Once I got to the outskirts of the village I went to the tree were I always put my clothes before changing into a wolf. I quickly looked around to make sure no one was around. I quickly changed back to a human and got dressed.

Before I got to the village I noticed that everything was quieter than usual. I picked up an unfamiliar smell.'Dad where are you? What's going on?' In human form we can communicate through are mental connections only if they are family or if it is the alpha. In my case my dad was both. I waited for an answer but nothing came. I didn't bother to try to reach him a again so instead I walked home, and on my way I was on full alert.

I reached my house but I started to feel uneasy. Why didn't my dad answer me? Why was the village so quiet? Usually at this time in the morning every one is up and doing there daily chores. When I got to my doorstep I picked up the same smell from a few minutes ago. I spun on my heel and I saw a wolf right in front of me ready to attack.

I didn't want to change into a wolf and rip up my clothes but since no one was around that seemed like my only decision. I quickly changed and was ready to fight. He started charging at me but I didn't move. And as he quickly got closer I could tell he was just a little delta. He got closer and I quickly moved out of the way just in time as he slammed into the door behind me.

While he was regaining what happened I started running to lead him out of the village. Thankfully it worked. He started chasing me and boy was he fast. But I was slightly faster, I kept running and running until I reached a steep drop in the mountain.

I turned around and saw he was still charging at me. I was going to what I did earlier he was going to fast to stop and he could run and fall off the cliff. But before he got to close another wolf came from behind the trees and attacked the wolf that started running towards me.

I recognized the smoky gray wolf as my oldest brother Jeremiah. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and I recognized the brown wolf as my second oldest brother Lucian. Lucian came and helped my brother fight off the threatening wolf. And once again I was being saved by my brothers. But this time I didn't cower in fear. I was just about to go help my brothers when two more brown wolfs came out of the blue and held me back. They were identical brown wolves , and they were my annoying twin brothers Michael and Jacob.

Of course they would be holding me back, and there was no use fighting them about it. Even though they were 5 inches taller than me in human form they still towered over me in wolf form. And they also were stronger than me. I could probably take one of them out but being twins and basically joined at the hip they all ways teamed up against me.

I looked back over to my brothers, Jeremiah and Lucian, and saw that they took out the other wolf. Jeremiah looked over at me ' You didn't have to lead him out of the village we had it handled' Jeremiah never wanted to be helped by anyone, even if it was family and it annoyed the shit out if me . 'a simple thank you would be nice. And if you were out here what were going to do back home? Lure him out with your rank smell.' He growled at me and I just rolled my eyes ' just say thank you Jeremiah and let's go home.' He said nothing, turned around and started for home.
