*Asher's POV*
I wake up with the sun beaming down on my face through the large window. I blink my eyes and reach to my head, rubbing my face. I sit on the edge of my bed for a second before actually getting up. I walk over to my closet, opening it and walking inside.
I continue inside the closet, and grab a suit from inside. I change and head out of my room. I walk down the stairs and grab a class from the kitchen. I put the glass up to the fridge and choose orange juice from the settings menu on the fridge. My phone rings and I leave my cup on the fridge to fill up.
I often get calls from my manager, who is also my assistant. Her name is Kelly super nice and does her job very well. I had to fire my old assistant because she forgot to tell me that I had a meeting, so I ended up losing a big deal that I was supposed to sign.
I never get calls from random people. However, larger companies often call me for business reasons. Not on my personal phone, but my business phone. The only people that can contact my personal phone is my assistant, the head of my security team, my sister Jasmine, and my best friend Lucas.
"Asher Emerson" I respond into the phone after answering the call. "Hey Asher, I have everything set down at the award center" My assistant Kelly responds. "Alright, thanks Kelly I'll be there soon. What time do I walk? I know when it starts, but not when I walk" I respond into the phone.
"Well, looking at the chart here, the award ceremony starts at Two pm. You close the awards at the very end. You walk at five pm" She says, and I nod even though no one is in front of me. "Okay. I'm going to have Darin drive me now then" I say to her.
"Okay sounds good. When you arrive, I'll be waiting at the entrance. Remember to smile for the cameras! You deserve all of this" She says and I smile slightly, hanging up the phone.
I grab my bag and walk out of the front door, leading into the outside patio, leading out to a large gate. "Mr. Emerson, we were instructed to see you off to the award ceremony by Darin" A large man says, walking up to me.
"Okay, isn't Darin coming too?" I question them. "Yes sir, he's already in the car" The shorter man responds.
I walk towards the back of the house, along the path. I enter in the code to the gate leading to the backyard. I continue walking towards the second garage with each guard at my side. I know they are just doing their job, but I always hated having a guard at each side all the time.
We approach the black Red Convertible and I sit down in the passenger seat next to Darin, who is smiling at me.
"Darin did we have to take this car?" I question him with a chuckle. "Hey, Boss' orders" He responds with an eye roll. I immediately know he's talking about Kelly.
When Darin isn't responding to me, he responds to Kelly. She's like my eyes and ears for everything, so naturally people started listening to her just as much as me. It doesn't bother me though, because most people that work for me know that Kelly is very reliable and has any information ready at hand when needed.
