Hello everyone! I'm glad you decided to continue reading. Please don't hesitate to vote or comment. Remember, The more votes equals the more opportunity for a second book. Thanks!

"Darin, remember who you're talking to" I say to him, as he looks down slightly. "It's apparent that the boy that collided onto me lost people very important in his life. I'm sorry if I didn't want to tell you guys because I know you would confiscate it and use it as evidence. He might not get his locket back if that happened" I say to him. He nods in understanding.

"Lastly, don't ever raise your voice at me again" I say to him as he nods his head once more.

He continues driving towards my place. The rest of the car ride is quiet.

*James's POV*

The next day, I wake up with Bitch licking my face. "Bitch get off me!" I say while chuckling. He hops off of me and whimpers, wanting attention. I get up and pet him.
I walk towards the kitchen, grabbing his food from a drawer. I poor the food into a bowel and he immediately eats it. I take him outside to use the bathroom and then take him on a walk.

Ugh, I don't want to go to that party today..

Me and Bitch walk back to the apartment and I let him off his leash when we walk inside.

I then take out my phone and open Netflix. I turn on a new show and binge watch the new season. The remainder of the day was spent cuddling with Bitch while watching Netflix.

Before I realize it, It's 5:30 Pm.

"Ugh, I have to get ready and go to the party now. Bitch, wanna help me pick out what to wear?" I ask him as he yips at me.

"Okay well, I don't have many options so don't judge me, okay Bitch?" I respond to him, almost expecting him to respond back.

After changing into multiple outfits, I decide on one. It's a brown color, and look baggy on me. I actually don't want to wear it but it's the most comfortable thing I have, and I could care less about how people look at me.

After changing, I grab my phone and wallet then head out. The party starts soon, hopefully I'm not late.

Actually, I hope I am late. I couldn't care less. I only intend to stay an hour anyway. Just long enough for my manager to witness that I showed up.

*Asher's POV*

"A little to the right!" I shout to the mover. They move the large ice sculpture to the right slightly.

"Perfect!" I shout, handing the guy a fifty before he walks away. The party starts soon. Lucas and Jasmine are already here, though. I'll have to make sure to apologize to them for the last minute switch to the VIP section at the award center. I don't know why Kelly didn't have them there to begin with.

about ten minutes later, I hear noises outside. There is still thirty minutes till the party technically starts, but I figured people would be here early.

I tell Darin to have some extra guards head to the front while leaving a few less in the back. I really don't want anyone sneaking in, and I definitely don't want things getting out of hand here. That doesn't mean that people won't have fun though. There's Mario kart!

And there is three different bars. It's required to show ID, of course. I also have a small security team dressed as a regular, just to blend in. Their purpose is to spot anyone without a wristband, or anything that seems sketchy. After all, over a thousand people are sure to come.

Before people enter, I walk up the stairs while locking the door behind me. I head up to the VIP section of the party. This building is a decent size. There are three floors, and the VIP section is on the top floor. Only business owners with a golden card can get up here.

I had Kelly check off all of the people that met the requirements, and place them with a golden card and a silver authentication logo in the upper corner of the card when we were at the award center. This way, only people of high profile will be permitted access to the top floor.

I will probably only make an appearance once on the main floor. If I stay too long down there, it will get crazy as heck. I don't need that. It would be rude to invite everyone and not even show my face though, that's why I'll be there. For a very short time. Better than nothing, though.

I walk over to the glass part of the top floor. This part of the building's floor is made of glass, making it transparent to see below. I lay down on the ground, seeing multiple walk through the entrance. I have an ear piece in, in case anything happens. After thirty minutes, there's over five hundred people already. No one with golden cards yet, though.

I continue laying on the ground, seeing that a lot of people noticed me up here. Some people jumped with excitement as others looked disappointed when they realized they couldn't get up here without the proper card. Oh well.

More and more people arrive at the party and a body guard interrupts my thoughts as I stare through the glass floor.

"Mr. Emerson? Sorry to interrupt, but some gold card holders have started arriving. Darin wants me to stick with you from here on out" He explains to me.

dammit.. I really didn't want a guard tailing me today.. I wanted to be left alone

"Alright, just don't follow me too close behind" I respond to him as he nods "yes sir."
I get up from the floor and walk out to third floor patio. I sit down at a table next to the large underground pool.

I wonder if that boy will come to the party.. He was at the award ceremony so I hope he comes to the party.

After greeting multiple gold card users, I come across Alexandria Kush. She's a very famous actress and singer. Her family is very wealthy and I think she has her own cosmetics line.

"Why hello there, I'm very pleased to meet you" I say with a smile and she blushes as I kiss both of her cheeks. From where she is from, it's a common greeting. And if I'm being honest, it's a really nice icebreaker.

From a glance, she looks utterly gorgeous. She has on a red dress that reminds me of a rose. A deep red lipstick to match her dress and strawberry colored hair, which is held up and curled slightly. She has a matching red hat that's slanted slightly making it more fashionable. She also has a body guard that I noticed tailing her as she walks around the VIP section.

I just hate being followed, but I'm not completely helpless either. I always have access to the head of my security team as well as emergency lines, but in her case, she actually lives in London. She flew out here to receive an award for the billboard top one hundred.

A while later, some of the crew set up a stage in the middle of the first floor. I hired a band to come and sing a couple songs as live entertainment. Or so I thought.

Kelly pulls me to the side, only to deliver some bad news. "It looks like your live entertainment missed their flight. They won't be able to make it in time. I'm sorry, no one told me until now" She says with an apologetic look.

"Are you kidding me? They are supposed to go on in forty minutes! What am I going to do? They already set up the stage. People are expecting something!" I say rather louder than intended.

"I'm sorry Asher, if you want I can try and see if there are any artists in the area that are up for it?" She questions me.

I look around the room before locking my eyes on Miss Alexandria Kush. "No, that's okay. I have a better idea" I say to her before walking away.
