(Narrator's POV)

"So when are you thinking of doing this plan? Also where? I mean this is a great plan, I never thought you would do something that actually matches her personality, but yeah I'll help you with everything." She smiled at Thor.

"After the festivities of course, there is still New Years, when that passes we can continue with the plan. Thank you Lady Y/n, Captain you have truly found your other half, I wish you days full of true bliss, now if you will excuse me I have someone else to wish a Merry Christmas!" And Thor made his way back inside, to talk to Carol and give her a gift he thought she might like, a full supply of pop-tarts. Steve and Y/n watched their friends interact, they were truly made for each other.

"Thank you really, for helping my brother, I haven't seen him this happy in years." Both Steve and Y/n turned around.

"You know, three years ago I would have slapped you because of what you did here, but now all I want to do is hug you." She gave him an unexpected hug, and he happily, amd surprisingly returned it.

"I also have a little gift for you, it's not much, but I thought why not you know." She handed him a small box, much like the one the one she gave Tony, he opened it to reveal a rolex, but nothing like the one she gave Tony. This rolex was gold, with emerald green jade stones on the inside, the stones marked as small dots one with each number, ne turned it to reveal another engraving.

"Nothing changes people more than being loved when they least deserve it. This is a reminder from me to you that you can be a good person, and as long as you wear this that good aura will follow you." -Y/n

"Thank you Lady Y/n, really this is very thoughtful of you."

"No problem, I like to think people deserve a second chance." Loki hugged her one last time, then they went back inside, music was playing, the team was having a very good time, for once they forgot they had to save the world. Then Tony came up to Y/n and asked her to speak privately, she decided why not.

"So I talked to my lawyer and he said I can't adopt you because your not a child like Peter, but an adult adoption can occur as long as you sign, unlike Peter I just need May to sign, but you, your the one that has to sign." He finished with a very anxious smile.

"You do know you just met me, like today, a couple of hours ago, why do you want to adopt me anyway? Because I made you something that took me a couple of weeks and somehow managed to impress you?" He looked even more anxious now, "Look I'm not saying no, but no one wanted me as a child, what makes me think anyone will want me now." He looked hopeful, still anxious, but more hopeful then a minute ago. He actually wanted this, maybe it can happen.

"But what if I want you, just because your 21 doesn't mean no one is gonna want you," She looked down, "I've always thought about my legacy, what I would have to leave behind, but more specifically who I would leave it to. I want to leave it to someone that knows what this is like, who knows this is a life of risk, pain, sacrifice." He stopped for a second, wondering if what he was about to say next was something he wanted to talk about, he continued,

"If I don't have children of my own, which I hope I get to again, at least I want to say I got to leave something special, to someone special to me. One thing I do promise is that you would work here with me, in the lab, you have extraordinary skills, you can use them for good, and I will always look out for you." He paused again, not knowing how to say what he wanted to say.

"A long time ago I had a daughter, her mother passed in a car accident when she was just a week old, and my daughter was taken from me just a month after, I just want to be that man I never could be for her. I've always felt that part of me missing, and with you and Peter, you guys somehow just after a minute of knowing you made me feel whole, I want to be someone you come to when your scared or are in need. I hope you give me a chance."

"So what you just go around adopting kids?" She chuckled, while she wiped the tears that fell down when he told her what had happened a long time ago.

"Honestly I just thought about this like minutes ago, although I was already on the process of adopting Peter, he'll still be a Parker because his aunt only agreed on her terms, I'm more like his legal guardian, I had to do it that way if he wants to continue being Spider-man, shit," She just laughed.

"Well if your gonna be my father now and he's gonna be my brother then I think I have the right to know," he looked up, surprised, "How old would she be?" He smiled.

"21, just like you." She went over to him and gave him a big bear hug, that he accepted dearly.

"Am I gonna have to change my last name too? Because honestly the last name the orphanage gave me is not the best." They both chuckled.

"Yeah I want you to have it before Stark turns into Rogers."

"Who said he was ever gonna propose."

"Trust me he will don't doubt it."

"Well now I guess I have to come by everyday huh?"

"Or you can just live here, no funny business though, I'll make sure to put you in a room as far away from Steve I don't wanna hear it at night." They just shared a laugh, then they went back to the team. She went to sit back down next to Steve, who was in a very heated argument with Bucky.

"That's not fair, you let him fight and he's a small boy, yet when I did it you screamed at me for it."

"Yeah, because Peter can lift buses, you could barely breathe."

"What are you arguing about now?" Y/n asked. Steve turned to her and his mood immediately changed, his small frown turned into a smile, Bucky and Sam just laughed at his mood change.

To say the rest of the day went well, was an understatement, Tony announced that Y/n was going to start living with them and she was officially going to become a Stark. Steve looked at her confused, the rest of the team wasn't really surprised, they look somewhat alike and they could tell Tony really wanted to do just as much as he does with Peter, Y/n just took Steve to the kitchen so no one would hear them, she explained to him why she agreed. She explained that if this was her chance, and if God was giving her this opportunity, she would gladly take it, she didn't tell him what Tony revealed because it was private, but she did tell him that she would be okay, that they would take time to know each other better, before any paperwork was signed.

The next two months were great, Y/n had already moved in with the Avengers, and she pretty much lived in Tony's lab and not in her actual room, they were there all day, every day, for two months. Now Steve and everyone else understood why, especially him since Tony and Y/n wanted time to bond, and to say it was successful was talking lightly. 

Peter had also taken on a roll of going to the tower every single day and spending it with them, just getting to know Y/n more, it was soon as if they had always lived and known each other. Tony and Peter really had taken on the roles of overprotective dad, and overprotective little brother, he even chaperoned some of their dates, not that Steve minded, they always looked like a little family if you didn't know who they were. 

Thor and Loki have been on asgard for all those two months, they have been getting everything they need for Carol's surprise, everything was going great, nothing bad happening, they were all just, living, and they enjoyed it. But what they didn't know, was that there was something, something that no one could ever see coming.
