(Narrator's POV)

Tony was astonished, then the rest of the team came in, and to say they were also surprised was an understatement.

They were trying to get in, but they were locked out, they could only see through the glass windows, they had a full view of what was happening inside, although they couldn't get in, it's like if there was some kind of spell making the door stay locked.

What they saw was shocking, yet breathtaking.

Y/n had purple mist surrounding her hands, much like Wanda, and her body emitted white like light, much like Carol, but this was different. Different in a way that she looked, a lot more powerful, unstoppable.

It's as if their seeing someone they know and love, become who they really are, finally seeing the part of her that they knew was missing, but couldn't quite point out what it was. They weren't ready to see it, not yet, not ever, but they are seeing it now, even if they aren't.

Something in her eyes was different, they were filled with rage, horror, sorrow. Those eyes have seen so much. Those ears have heard a lot. That heart has been hurt enough.

She knows what she's doing, she knows who she is, yet she never told them, but Clint. She knows he could keep the secret locked even in his grave. She told him some of it, not all of it, but still, it was more then she would ever tell Tony or Peter. She thought they would stop loving her, that they would label her a monster and a liar, and not want her in their lives anymore. So she decided on keeping it a secret, until she found the right time for this big confession.

But on the contrary, what their seeing now, what their seeing her do, they think it's awesome, extraordinary. This is something that shows who she really is, and they can't help but be happy.

Although they are still trying to get in, but they can't help to just stop and see for a moment.

She wasn't wearing what she was wearing this morning is what they knew for sure, it was a suit, similar to Carol's, but a lot more like Nat's, in the way that she showed a bit of cleavage, but not too much to make her uncomfortable. It was a dark purple, just like her powers, almost black, but you could see the hint of purple, high rise black combat boots, they weren't healed, but they had laces. Her suit had a small S.H.I.E.L.D logo on her right arm, knife and gun holster belt, but mostly for knives. And it included some black, awesome looking, fingerless gloves.

But all that didn't matter right now, all that mattered was getting her out of there, or at least opening that door, because from what their seeing she doesn't need much help, she's already doing it on her own.

She was beating every single agent so naturally, so flawlessly, that they questioned whether she had in fact done this before, which the answer to that question is most likely a yes. As she was done she looked their way, a hint of regret and pain showed in her eyes, but yet, she found the courage within her to smile.

Steve without a doubt returned that smile, the smile of a revocably, and helplessly in love fool. Even now to this point in their relationship, she's beating all of Justin Hammer minions so that's pretty far, a simple smile could still make her weak at the knees, and could make butterflies erupt in her stomach. But as much as she wanted to enjoy this little moment, she had to get herself, and the team, out of there as soon as possible.

When she was done, with her powers she opened the door, letting them step in. Nothing else was said between any of them, they only hugged, and it was a tight one.

"You guys can go back to the jet, call S.H.I.E.L.D, so they can come and clean this up." Tony said.

"What about you?" Y/n asked him.

"I've got someone to deal with, but don't worry I'll be fine." Hesitantly she followed the rest of the team to the jet, Steve holding her hand tight, not wanting to let go.

Tony walked over to where Justin was laying, putting pressure on a wound, trying to escape, but the wound wouldn't let him.

"You know if it were for me you would be dead right now, but I know the police and S.H.I.E.L.D are not done with you just yet, but I'm gonna try to be nice." Tony just handcuffed Justin to a pipe, making sure he wouldn't escape. Then made his way to leave.

"You sure you wanna leave, I know many things, especially about that daughter of yours."

"Yeah, your right, she might be adopted, but she is still my daughter. Now bye."

"That's where you're wrong," Tony was almost out of Justin's eye sight, but he turned around, intrigued about what he just said, and what he actually meant. Justin smiled at Tony's sudden interest, and proceeded to continue, "you see, you think that your daughter, the one that supposedly died 21 years ago, is well dead. Well buddy, let me tell you she is very much alive, and you've had her with you all this time, she's been so close, I don't know how you don't see it. You're the smartest guy but also the dumbest, you know that right?"

"What do you mean?"

"You really still don't get it? How stupid can a person be, It's Y/n, she's your daughter, not your adoptive daughter, no. What do you think I meant by I wanted to see your own blood in pain? Why do you think Fury made Carol and Y/n meet, none of it was just a coincidence. It was all Fury's doing, he knew all along, and yet you all fell for it like fools." Justin coughed, his breathing was slowing down now, he would rather die than go back to prison.

By the time Tony, had registered this, and wanted to ask another question, it was too late, Justin wasn't breathing. Soon S.H.I.E.L.D came, and Tony went back to the jet, trying to find the right words to explain this to everyone else.
