The Space Between Our Love (Thor x Carol Danvers)

(Narrator's POV)

When they were done brainstorming, and finally came up with a plan, they waited until Carol went to sleep, to tell Thor about the plan. It was a very risky plan, considering how Carol might react. She's strong, independent, she doesn't like to take any kind of bullshit from anyone, like mentioned before. Now, Loki was pacing, Steve was just rambling, and Thor was trying to understand what Steve was saying, he didn't even know what Steve was talking about.

"...and that's what's gonna happen." Steve finished, he was breathing hard trying to get oxygen in his lungs.

Now Thor was beyond confused, Loki was still pacing, Steve looked as if he was thinking.

"Captain what are you talking about?" Thor asked Steve, but he was not listening.

"Brother, Loki!" None of them even glanced his way, so he decided to get their attention in some other, and a lot more thunderous way.

He called over his hammer, and summoned lighting, it wasn't too strong that it would break one of Starks windows, but strong enough to make them look at him for once. Now Loki had stopped pacing, went to sit down on the bed right next to Steve, where Steve was just looking at Thor waiting for him to continue.

"Captain, Brother can you inform me on what is going on, please." Thor demanded, in the most calm and collected voice.

"Ok so we found a way you can tell Carol how you feel."

"You want to help?" Thor didn't want to believe Steve would help, he still thought Steve also felt something for Carol. Steve nodded, looking at Thor he realized something, that Thor really does believe he also feels something for her.

"If your thinking that I also feel something for her you're wrong, she's one of the closest friends I have, and I love someone else. I wasn't gonna introduce her to you guys yet until Tony's party, but her names Y/n, and I love her. Now to the plan Loki and I discussed."

Fast forward two hours, they had everything figured out, the plan would we about a month after Tony's party, they would need time to make this happen. Time, and some extra hands, meaning they would talk to Y/n and ask if she can help, she would probably say yes, but Steve knows Y/n would want to know every single detail, and maybe take over to put her own twist in it. Knowing Y/n, Steve knows she will. Steve has to leave early since he had a date with Y/n to get to, although he told Carol he didn't need her to come with him on this one. The team will get suspicious yes, but he was going to tell them anyone in less then a week.

Steve and Y/n had an amazing date, they went to this Italian restaurant, walked around central park, went back to Y/n's place, and did stuff, adult stuff you wouldn't want to know about. Laying there, Y/n laying her head on Steve's chest, him stroking her hair, debating whether to tell her about the idea he had. He looked down at her, she was already looking at him, he saw that smile, that would always brighten his day, no matter what, with her, he would always feel okay. He wants this, not just for weeks, days, months, years, no, he wants this forever. He wants to take the next step, one day, maybe it was too soon now, but he wanted to take that step, so he would tell her his plan, for the team to meet her, and the plan about Thor and Carol.

So, he did.
