Sorry (Jungwoo X Reader)

Toad is okay.

          You awoke the next morning due to the delicious smell of soup. You got up, and quickly got ready, before exiting your room. 

"Good morning Mrs. Zhong" you said as you bowed in front of her. She smiled.

"Ah Y/n, go round up everyone else, I have breakfast ready" she said as she put down the pot of soup in the center of the table. You quickly went to wake everyone up, and they all gathered at the table once they were ready. Chenle's dad also joined. You all ate a delicious breakfast, you thanked Chenle's mom after. 

"Sorry, i'm getting a call" you said as you ran into the entrance. You closed the sliding door and answered. 

"Hello, this is Xing Y/n right? The owner of Toad?" 

"Yes, this is her" you said, bitting your nail.

"Toad is ready for discharge, we'd like to go over a few things at the clinic here, is it possible for you to come over?" The doctor asked.

"Yes, I will be over, thank you sir" you said as you hung up. You entered the kitchen again. "Jungwoo we need to go, it's Toad" you said. Jungwoo put down his spoon, and jumped up. 

"Sorry, we'll be back, would it be okay if we could bring a dog?" Jungwoo asked as he ran into the entrance with you, he began to lace his shoes. 

"Ah yes, a dog is fine" Chenle's dad said. You bowed, before running out of the house. You got into Jungwoo's car, and he drove to the vet. 

"Uh, i'm here for my dog, Toad?" You said at the front desk.

"Oh yes, Y/n?"

"Yes, that's me"

"I have contacted Doctor. Kim that you're here."

"Thank you" you said as you smiled. You went to sit down with Jungwoo. You prayed silently, that your precious dog was okay, that you would get to see him once more, happy and healthy. After only a few minutes, you were called. You seemed to wait for an eternity, but finally, you would be reunited with your Toad. Your best friend, your favorite dog in the whole world. You followed Doctor Kim, into the room where Toad was sound asleep. You quickly hugged him, and left a small kiss on his head, as Doctor Kim sat down. 

"Well, we had to do surgery on his tongue, and about two teeth had to be pulled out. They won't regrow, but after about a week, he'll be able to eat kibble again without it hurting him. For now, I have this prescription here, it's essentially the same dog food you use, but liquified, because he shouldn't chew hard stuff until then. Keep feeding him normal portions however, both of the liquid kibble, and water. He had to get a small stitch here, on his left front leg, so don't push him too much when taking him out on a walk, and I know you like to go skateboarding, so don't do that. I'd say it'd take around maybe a month for him to be back to his normal self. However, don't risk it okay?"

"Yes sir, thank you very much, what is the fee for this?"

"Well, your dog was in critical condition, your pet insurance that you have with your father has already covered the surgery bill, and I won't charge you for bringing him here or anything, he's one of my favorite patients. But that doesn't mean I like seeing him here often okay?"

"Yes sir, i'll be more careful with him. Again, thank you very much, I am so grateful for you right now" you said as you bowed. He smiled, and bowed his head. 

"Alright, now go let Toad get some good rest, he needs it" Doctor Kim said. You smiled, and nodded, before cradling your dog in your arms. You left the room, and went back into the waiting area, to retrieve Jungwoo. He smiled as he saw the sleeping dog in your arms.
