Antonyhouse in Cornwall was largely the creation of Sir William Carew the 5thbaronet and was the youngest of sir John Carew's seven children. In the houseitself there are portraits hanging on every wall looking down on the peoplebelow.
Each Carew has a different story to tell. Such as Richard Carew whowrote the survey of Cornwall during the Elizabethan era. Two brothers who supportedtwo sides during the civil war. John Carew who supported Parliament and his halfbrother Alexander who supported the king. Both were executed for there beliefs.
