Khyra met a man, named Kajibwe, in the back of a little tent and she talked to him.
The front of the tent had a shrine of a Cobra. A villager walking past the two stopped in front of the shrine and started to chant a spell. He then put a potion on it. What was once a statue of a snake was now a living Cobra.
Khyra saw this and knew this was bad. She hid and told Kajibwe she had to go and that he would be in serious danger if he didn't leave.
She then slid out from the tent without kajibwe being aware. Khyra ran from that shrine and tent. When she was at a good distance (so she thought), she started to make a scene. She purposely screamed like a common woman scared for her life. She ran like she was inexperienced, but they did not know that this woman is a soon-to-be tribe leader. Of course she could run properly.
Kajibwe saw this scene Khyra was making and started to run after her to stop her cries. Khyra saw this and made it into a game. She ran faster, still making a scene, but while she was screaming you could hear faint giggles in between. Kajibwe still running to catch Khyra, thought this woman was crazy and none like the women from this village.
Kajibwe knew that there was a cliff at the end of the road and if Khyra would'nt stop now she would fall to her death.
Khyra knew this as well, but she knew she would not fall to her death. Khyra kept running, she was even began to run faster.
Finally, Khyra was right at the edge of the cliff, but she did not halt her running. Instead, she leaped off the cliff side. Kajibwe thought the woman was insane at this point and so did the villagers.
"What type of person would be happy to jump off a cliff?," Kajibwe thought.
Kajibwe eyes lit up and widened from the sight before him. Khyra was flying in the air with a huge grin mixed with a smirk on her face.
Khyra has a special power like no other, she has power to control mother nature and gravity. Kajibwe was intrigued and fascinated by this discovery. He found himself attracted to this woman. He had heard tall tales from his childhood about a tribe who have ancestors who casted a spell on the bloodline of the chief and the spell entailed power from the gods. Meaning if she has a power she is the daughter of a chief- a princess.
While Kajibwe was in his train of thought, he did not notice that Khyra was calling his name. He looked at the woman responding to his name being called and she told Kajibwe to meet her at a lake. She flew in that direction and he followed on foot.
Finally, Khyra and Kajibwe were both next to each other at their destination. Khyra told Kajibwe to follow her again and Kajibwe trusted her so he followed the woman. While they were walking Khyra began to smile and run towards the direction, leaving Kajibwe behind. He started to run, meanwhile confused on why her demeanor changed so quickly.
"We're almost there!," Kyra said cheerfully.
In the forest there were many trees and branches, making Kajibwe curious what she means by "there".
"Maybe it's a spring or something," Kajibwe thought.
Khyra's running came to a halt and she moved a tree branch out of the way forming an entry way into a path. She followed the path. Kajibwe was amazed by this hidden path. He had never seen or found this when he explored the forest.
The path opened up into a pasture with tents in sight and children playing. Khyra smile grew even wider from the sight of her tribe. She then walked out into the pasture and she saw her people.
When one of Khyra's tribe members noticed her presence she smiled and shouted to the others that Khyra is back. The woman saw a man behind Khyra and she welcomed the man with great warmth. Kajibwe barely recieved a nice welcome from someone, because he did not have a good reputation in his tribe.
Khyra left to go to the children that they saw playing before. She went up to the children with a huge smile and hugged them. She talked to them for a descent amount of time.
On the other hand, Kajibwe stood next to Khyra not knowing what to do. Khyra told the tribe that Kajibwe was going to stay as a new member. They all were excited about this abrupt news and they welcomed Kajibwe with great hospitality.
Overtime, Kajibwe became very fond of Khyra and so did Khyra. Little did she know, kajibwe was going to be the future chief for their tribe.
