It was the best day. Today I found out the gender of the second baby my husband, Derek, and I are gonna have. We already have a little boy, Jacob Lee Hale, who is 5 years old. Jacob always wanted a little sibling to play with on the play set we got him in the backyard. When Derek found out we were having a baby he felt his dark loft wasn't fit for a child. With the help of Scott, Derek was able to find a house in Scott's neighborhood.

Finding out we are going to have a little girl has left me ecstatic. I'm driving my way back to our house from the hospital when my phone rings. It's Derek.

"Hey, honey." I say with excitement in my voice. "I got to find out the gender!"

"You did?" He asks, also expressing excitement. "I wish I could have come. Jacob is a handful at home." I chuckled as I heard Jacob yelling 'what', followed by footsteps, because he heard his name being called with his sensitive werewolf hearing. "Let me put you on speaker really quick." Derek chuckles. "Say hi to mama little man."

"Hi mama!" Jacob was a mamas boy. He's always so excited to see or hear me.

"Hi bubba! Guess what mama did today?" I respond.

"What?" He yells loudly. "Buddy be quieter." I hear Derek whisper in the background.

"Mommy found out if you're gonna have a baby sister or brother." I say with a smile.

"Really?!" He yelled. "Is it a boy?! No, is it a girl?! What is their name? When are they gonna be here? Tomorrow?!" Derek chuckles and replies, "Buddy, the baby will be here in about 5 months."

"Okay babies, I'm almost home, I'll see you soon. Mommy loves you." I said, extending the 'you'.

"Okay Jakey, say bye to mama." Derek announces. "Bye bye mama." Jake sweetly says.

Minutes later I was home with my family. Jacob ran to me, in his dinosaur pajamas, screaming my name as I entered the house. Derek chasing behind him, telling Jacob to be careful. "Mama, mama, what is the baby?" Jake asks, jumping up and down in front of me. Derek picks Jacob up so he doesn't get hurt with all his jumping.

"Calm down, Jacob." Derek says sternly.

"Do I not even get a 'hello' kiss?" I jokingly question to ease the tension. Derek softly puts Jake on the floor and pulls me in for a passionate kiss. Pulling away I say, "Well, hello to you too, honey."

"Ew, daddy kissed mama on the mouth." Jacob squeals from behind Derek.

"Daddy just wanted to give mama a 'hello' kiss like she asked for. Come on, let's all go sit down and we can ask mama if you're having a brother or sister." Derek picks up Jacob, throwing him over his shoulder and flopping him on the couch. Once we are all sat down, Jacob crawls into my lap, eager to know about his younger sibling.

"Daddy and I have decided that your new siblings name will be..." I look to Derek on my right, then back to Jake in my lap, "Macy Thalia Hale." Derek's eyes widen slightly as a smile grows on his face. He looks to Jacob who has his eyebrows furrowed.
