Hi, everyone! Sorry this is a day late. My birthday was yesterday and I didn't plan accordingly. Anyway, here is the next part. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for reading :)

"Rise and shine," I hear a perky voice say as an excessive amount of light enters the room. I roll over to find Marisol dressed and ready for the day. To my displeasure, she is opening all of the blinds in our suite.

"What time is it?" I ask, groggily rubbing my eyes.

"It's 9:00 in the morning," she states.

"Good," I respond. "That means I can sleep for at least another hour."

"Uhm, no you can't. We have orientation. You know, that thing where we are told about the different classes we can sign up for and activities we can do?"

"I know there is orientation and I know what it is, but that isn't until 10:30, hence why I can sleep for at least another hour," I say before rolling onto my other side and closing my eyes.

"Nope. I'm not going to let you sabotage yourself by sleeping in. El, do you have any idea how many hot guys are here? A Lot. So get up and get ready because you need to look amazing today- today will set the tone for your entire summer. You need to look cute."

I sit up so that my eyes meet Marisol's.

"I'm Lavender Hemly," I sigh. "Guys don't go for girls like me anyway. They don't even give me a second look."

"I don't know," Marisol says in a sing-song voice. "Shawn sure gave you a second look last night. Actually, if I remember correctly, he also gave you a third look, and a fourth look, and a fifth look, and a si-."

"Shut up," I say, throwing my pillow at her. She laughs as I look down in an attempt to hide the fact that I'm blushing. Was Shawn really looking at me that much last night? Could he, for some weird reason, like me? No way.

"Shawn's perfect. He would never go for a girl like me."

"You mean a pretty, smart, and kind girl? You're right," Marisol says sarcastically. "Why would Shawn ever want that?"

I can't help but smile at Marisol's words. I've never had a friend compliment me like that. My friends back at home always spent too much time gossiping and going to parties that they didn't invite me to. I guess the reality is, I've never had a real, authentic friend. I hope that Marisol can be that friend that I've always wanted- that friend that I've always needed.

As Marisol and I walk to the outdoor arena where Camp Stride's orientation will be held, she talks non-stop about how hot Dan is. She really is head-over-heels for him.

"We are here," I say, interrupting Marisol's detailed and lengthy explanation of why Dan's jawline is, and I quote, "perfection at it's finest."

"Yay," she says excitedly. "Let's go in!"

"So it really is that simple. You can choose four classes and four activities using the link in the corner of the yellow piece of paper you all received at the start of orientation. Make sure to also sign up for two alternate classes and two alternate activities in case any classes and activities fill up. I highly encourage you to complete the request form right away. Thank you so much and you are officially free to go," says the sweaty man that just spoke to us about the classes and activities offered at Camp Stride for over two hours. As we all begin to file out, Marisol and I turn around when we hear someone shout her name. It's Dan, and Shawn is following closely behind.
