Yeah it's too late to join now but I just wanted to talk about it
So there are 3 teams: Team Sunsteel, Moongeist, and Prismatic. Each team is trying to win the most scramble coins. I'm on Team Moongeist (I was hoping for Sunsteel but I'm fine with Moongeist) and apparently I'm team captain. I've never done a summer scramble before, but I was nominated and, well here we are. That happened.
I didn't know what to expect, but there's a bunch of small events to win scramble coins. So far we've done a mascot challenge and creating a team motto. Our motto is "May the light of the moon illuminate your path" and our mascot is a Lunala-themed Clefable. Some ongoing events are a Smash tournament, battles on Showdown, team costume designing, and some other things.
I'm really excited for the Summer Scramble. I prepared a team for Showdown battles and while it's not the most competitively viable team I've ever made, it's definitely one I made for fun using the Pokémon on a list. I wish I stayed around last year for Summer Scramble, but if that did happen, that could break the space-time continuum. (I joined LV in the beginning of June, but they start sign ups for the event at the end of June. And since I didn't return to LV until late September, I missed out and didn't even know they did this until a month ago.)
