Aryan couldn't believe it. His Chocolate was right in front of his eyes - in flesh and blood. The past two weeks she was all that he could think of, finding her was almost always his topmost priority, his mind on an overdrive imagining what it would feel like to meet her again, even to see her again. And what had transpired between them a few seconds ago was proof that he had fallen for her - fast and hard.
If this is what their first kiss felt like, he couldn't wait for more. This is what his first kiss should've been, not that stupid sloppy one that girl had stolen from him at the airport. He had repented it day and night, trying to erase those memories of the ache that soared through him when that drunken friend of his sister's had ambushed him and assaulted his lips.
But right now he was in paradise - the girl he would've moved heaven and earth for was sitting before him, across continents and oceans and the icing on top was the flawless kiss that they had shared.
And just as suddenly as he had risen from his inane state to cloud nine, he came spiralling down again as he felt her hot, angry palm smack him across the face.
What had just happened? Within a minute his flight of fantasy had hit turbulence and landed in hell. Because that's what this felt like.
Confused, he asked, "What's wrong, Chocolate? Do I not kiss well?"
Laughing, but seething with anger she replied, "Of course you do, with the practise you've been having, you kiss faultlessly, don't you?"
"Practise....?" he asked perplexed. "What are you talking about....."
"Oh don't be so naive! I don't know why I let you kiss me in the first place. Hell, even I kissed you back. I can't believe it. I don't even know why I trusted you or let down my guard. I actually thought that you were different, why am I not surprised? No calls, no messages, nothing. Hell you didn't even bother to ask my name again; but you knew where I stayed, you had my number, and you couldn't call once??? I actually thought you were different, the way I saw your concern and care, but it was all fake wasn't it?? You're just like the rest of them - an unchaste, cheating, fibbing, thieving devil in disguise."
Gulping for air after the stern monologue, she continued, "By the way, you've still got remnants of your last make-out session on your cheeks."
Mystified, he touched his cheek and a small smile started building up on his face.
".....And after what I saw at the airport I can't believe that I gave in to you and let me overpower me that way," she continued, "Oh my God, you're smiling?! What the freaking hell is so funny?"
Now, his smile actually reached his eyes and he politely asked, "Can I explain?"
"To hell with an explanation. I saw it with my own eyes, and this stupid red lipstick! What can you even say to prove your innocence? Not that I think you're guiltless one bit. But NO." She said her eyes flaring.
Walking towards her, he stood towering in front of her frame. Wordlessly, he lifted up her chin and she jerked her face from his touch.
"Shit I've hurt you really bad, haven't I?" he swore, more to himself than her. "Look into my eyes once Chocolate, please? I beg of you," he said encircling her waist in his arms and pulling her closer.
"No....." her voice quivered at the touch as she pulled her questioning eyes to his.
Kissing her on the forehead, and then looking straight into her eyes, he said, "Come with me, I have something to show you. There's someone you should meet. Please?"
"No... I rather not be here right now, leave me alone. I'll have a word with your father later. We'll discuss the Resort. I don't want you to have anything to do with it anymore. Not that I knew you did, but whatever. Give him my regards," she mumbled, lost in his grey eyes as she tried getting out of the embrace and picking up her bag from the chair nearby.
