Chapter Four
Handing over the keys of his Audi R8 to the valet, Aryan made his way into the hotel. He quickened his pace when his nostrils trickled with the smell of the now familiar fragrance. Almost running towards the elevator, he held out his hand, making the doors stop as he got inside.
The elevator was empty apart from a couple who were engrossed in themselves and didn't seem to notice that someone else had entered after them. He groaned in frustration as he realised that she must've taken the other elevator. Taking deep breaths he tried to calm himself. Never had he felt this way before. He didn't know why he was so eager to look at her face again.
Usually, girls didn't really bother him. He wasn't bothered about girls either. He didn't care about the attention he seemingly received from them, and neither did he give any girl a second glance. He had never dated before, never even kissed someone in his entire life. No, he wasn't gay, but he was always so immersed in either his studies or work that he didn't have the time or the patience to deal with a girl.
He was still the same. Or so he thought. It was obvious that he had taken a real liking to this mystery girl; why else would she tease him in such a way? Never before had he stayed up all night, thinking about someone he barely knew. He had even fantasised about her! Thinking about those amazing moves she had made the previous night, he wondered what it would feel like if she gave him a lap dance. Just thinking about it had him at all hot and flustered. He didn't know where these thoughts arose from, but he was really bothered by them.
Mentally analysing the situation, he concluded that this was just a phase, maybe his latent hormones were signalling to him to get some action. He'd just have to find out a little about the girl and he was sure his feelings would subside. Staying away from her all day and keeping himself occupied hadn't helped distract him, maybe getting to know her would. He tried to convince himself that he was just so affected by her as he knew nothing about her, save where she lived, probably. Thinking about her glimpse this morning, made him smile involuntarily. Oh god, she was really making him feel different. He hated these alien feelings.
But was this a bad thing?
When the elevator pinged signalling that he had arrived at the rooftop, he composed his face and walked out with a resolve to find this mystery woman and get to know her before she could make his thoughts run wild again. Looking around, he sighed when he saw everyone in masks around him. This just had to be a masquerade party! How could he have forgotten?
The party was divided in to three sections; the bar area was in the open, dinner was being served at the other end of the rooftop and there was an indoors section where the DJ was in full swing already. People were grooving to the upbeat music. Everywhere he looked, youngsters were having the time of their lives. The lights were dim, and everyone's face was covered. Now how was he going to find her?!
Sighing, he made his way towards the bar to greet Sagar after picking up a mask and roughly putting it on.
"A virgin mojito please," he heard someone say behind him. Unmistakeably, this was her voice. Turning around, he saw a girl leaning against the counter with her eyes shut, a mask covering most of her pretty face, and her feet tapping to the music.
"Make that two," he said.
Her eyes opened wide when she heard his husky tone. He looked into her chocolaty eyes and was certain that it was her. They intensity with which she looked into his eyes made him want her. He desperately wanted to kiss her and have his way with her body then and there. He really had to do something about it. He couldn't think of a way to break the ice between them. The tension between them was palpable. It was obvious that she couldn't take her eyes off him either. This little minx was really toying with him, and she didn't even realise it!
