Emmersyn's POV
"What is it to you?" She asks making eye contact with me.
"I'm Emmersyn Rose-way." I tell her hoping it means something.
"And.. you wanted to say hello?" She asks confused making circles in the air with her hands.
"No actually I didn't. I wanted to know how you know Isabela Richards, and my sister." I say kind of snarkily.
"Can we have this conversation some other time?" She asks uncomfortably.
"Fine." I sigh annoyed I have to wait to find out the truth about Lylac.
She scribbles something on a piece of paper and slides it in the table over to me. I see it's her phone number and walk away towards the doors mumbling a quick 'thank you'.
The air outside suddenly seems thicker, and is causing me to hyperventilate. I feel like being back is going to cause so much trouble that I wish I was back in Sweden. The tears begin to run down my cheeks and I sit on the sidewalk with my face in my hands.
"You know you really shouldn't sit on the sidewalk." An sweet anonymous voice says.
I look up to see a dark haired girl with hazel-blue eyes, and freckles dusted over her nose. She resembles that girl Hadley in a way.
"And you know you shouldn't be talking to strangers who look pissed right?" I snarkily reply.
"You're not a stranger Emmersyn." She says calmly sitting beside me.
I look at her with my head cocked to the side and my eyes wide, basically telling her that she is absolutely nuts.
"I think I should formally introduce myself then. I'm Timber-Ann Parsons." The younger girl quips in a tone that implies that I now know her.
" Oh you're a friend of my sister Lylac's? I haven't heard much from anyone about my sisters social life." I respond hoping to sound clueless.
"We're best friends." Timber says in an annoyed whisper.
"I would like to get to know my sister's friends eventually. Maybe you should come over the house and we can all chat." I say as I stand up and dust off myself.
"Sure." She says affirming that Lylac's lack of informing me has hurt her.
"It was nice meeting you, Timber. I really should get home and settled in, school is starting up for me and I need new clothes." I say putting my hand out for her to shake.
She doesn't extend her hand, but instead begins to walk in the direction of my house.
"I'm on my way there anyway." Timber states looking over at me, motioning for me to follow her.

When we make it to my house, we walk in to see Lylac sitting cross-legged in the sofa, drawing in her sketchbook.
When she looks up she is surprised to see our guest, her eyes wide.
