Hadley's POV
When he hands it to me I notice it is addressed to me , written in beautiful handwriting. Hadley Ambrose... The paper was intricately folded into three and then fours. When I opened it there was a letter and a drawing folded up . I read the letter first.
Hadley Ambrose,
I Harry Gregory Hudson write this to you in complete seriousness. What I'm about to enclose, was too hard to write and even harder to say. I am sorry for causing you pain. I knew how much you loved me and yet, I was too selfish to let something truly good come into my life easily. All though I loved Laurel, I was never in love with her. I've only truly loved one person besides you and that was my unborn child. Please know that I never would have thought that you would turn to my brother, because of my mistakes. When you told me you loved me in year 8 I truly thought it was in the way we had always said it. But I realized that you meant it when you told Grey that " I love you , is for someone who you devote your whole heart to." You never did say "I love you" to him though. I then realized that you did love me like I loved you and that I could not let fear control me. I want to let you know that I see you. I see, the way you scrunch your nose when you are deep in thought- the way you let others stand in the spotlight- how you would do anything for your family- and how much meaning is behind every word that leaves your beautiful lips. You are always in the spotlight, in my book. You deserve the attention a queen has.
Be my lead.
Will you be my girlfriend?
With the utmost love,
Harry
I open up the drawing to see that it is of us when we were four years old holding hands and walking near a duck pond. The sketch perfectly matches the Polaroid from years ago. However, I notice that in the water we reflect as we are now. I look up at Harry tears flowing as he takes out a ring that is glass with a dandelion before bloom encased.
"It's like the one I made for you that day, but can be as easily broken." He says searching for my answer.
