somewhat inspired by on my block, recently got into the show and i'm obsesseddddd. enjoy :)

shawn's pov

it replayed in my head all the time
i couldn't sleep without thinking about it

" fuck " i whispered, sitting up as i woke up for the fifth time tonight
i haven't gotten sleep ever since the accident

" are you okay baby? " y/n asks sitting up besides me, placing a hand on my cheek
i slightly tilt my head and place a kiss to y/n's hand, before grabbing it and holding it in my own

" are you okay? " i ask and i watch as her shoulders drop
" shawn, " she sighs, cupping my cheeks
" i'm okay " she replies, placing a kiss to my lips

i run my hand on her thigh, lightly touching the scar
" hey " she says, placing a hang on top of mine
" i'm okay. you're okay. we're okay " she says and i nod
" okay " i nod, laying back down
once i do, y/n lays down next to me and runs her hands through my hair, knowing that calms me down

" i almost lost you " i choke out, wrapping my arms around her and pulling her body into mine
" shawn, " she sighs, continuing to run her hands through my hair
" it was my fault. it was my concert " i say, tears beginning to build up
" shawn it wasn't your concert, it was a festival. you can't blame yourself like that. besides, the person that did it was mentally ill. they're in a mental facility now " she tells me, trying to calm me down
" i should've arranged things better. i should've kept a security guard with you or kept you backstage " i sob
" shawn, listen to me. i'm okay. everything that happened had nothing to do with you or was your fault. it was my choice to stay in the   crowd " she says and i nod

" i got so scared " a tear falls
" when i saw your face, i knew " i say and she looks down

y/n pulls my head down slightly and places her lips on mine, now putting my focus on her lips rather than my thoughts, giving me a distraction i needed
" i love you " i mumble as we pull away, resting my forehead against hers
" i love you, shawn. we're going to get through this together. it'll take time, but it's nothing we can't do " she says and i nod, closing my eyes

with talking to y/n and having her in my arms, for the first time in weeks, i was able to sleep that night
