Maps lay on the ground, motionless. Damian jumped from his seat, rushing to Maps's side. "Colton, get down!" he yelled across the room. Colton shook his head.
"I thought you were supposed to be a hero," he replied. He opened a portal, and took a pair of binoculars from it. "They shot from the apartment buildings across the street. Avdol, me and you are gonna go after him. Damian, get some help." The three of them rushed out of the room. Colton and Avdol headed for the exit, and Damian headed to the nearest place a phone was. The old dial-up phone in the library.
As soon as he entered the library, he was greeted by Professor MacPherson. "Ello, Dami-" she screamed, seeing the arrow in Maps's chest.
"Call help, please!" Damian cried. She rushed to the phone, but as she picked it up, a haze came over her mind. Four letters is all she could think. "H-E-R-O." She dialed them into the phone, and no one answered. Instead, it glowed a bright light, and when it stopped, new words appeared in her mind. "Angel of the Morning." She fell backwards, then struggled to her feet.
Damian noticed, rushing to her. "What happened, are you okay?" he asked her, helping her up.
Professor MacPherson nodded, before freaking out again. "Damian, why did you remove the arrow!? That will cause more bleeding!"
"The wound healed..." he replied, quietly.
MacPherson knelt beside Maps. "How?" The arrow lay at Maps's side, covered in blood. Maps opened her eyes, and tried to stand. She fell, but Damian was able to catch her.
"Oh, uh, hey Damian." She said, softly. She stood up, and picked up the arrow. "Are we gonna go get who did this? That'll be fun, we'll be just like superheroes!" Damian nodded.
"Yeah, just like real superheroes."

Hey, ItalyTonioTrussardi here. Sorry for the short chapter, the part 2 is gonna be longer. I wanted to include an author's note to clear up some things.
1. The Joker is Jack Joestar's wife. I noticed it was unclear if she was his wife or mother, etc.
2. The Avdol in this universe is indeed the one from Stardust Crusaders. The portals that Nasty Majesty opens open into a pocket dimension, the same dimension Cream (and The Hand) send things.
3. An explanation of what is canon to Gotham Fortune's DC universe. The standard DC universe is canon, along with any crossovers I see fit. The canon crossovers are: Power Rangers, Watchmen (technically not a crossover), and Hellboy maybe making a cameo. I may add more in the future, of course with them getting a proper introduction.
