Chapter 36.

"ME? YOUR QUEEN?" Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Azumi matapos malaman nila ang talagang pakay ni King Vladimir sa kanila.

The Dark King nods in answer.

"Why?" she inquired out of interest.

"You're the perfect candidate for that position." 

"And why do you think I'll just let you do what you want?" Azumi was asking. 

"Summoning, Dark Gate!"  Instead of answering her inquiry, King Vladimir performed a summoning ritual.  Suddenly, a dark gate appeared at the back. At mula doon ay lumabas isa-isa ang napakaraming Dark Mages. Mukhang dala nito lahat ng kapanalig nito at handa ng makipagdigma sa kanila.

"If hindi kita madaan sa usapan, I'll use force as my last resort."

Kumuyom ang kaniyang kamao ng marinig iyon. Vladimir can deploy his forces to threaten her and, in the worst-case scenario, kill her friends, thereby forcing her to submit. If siya lang kaya niya. Pero ibang usapan na kapag nadamay ang mga ito.

'Erika,' pagkausap niya sa Isa sa kaniyang kaibigan gamit ang telepathy.

'Why?'

'Summon your guardian beast now. I need it to send message to Mathew.'

Mukhang nakuha naman nito ang punto niya kaya sinunod siya nito.

Erika's beast is the fastest in the group.  It's a golden eagle with a great affinity for wind and lightning magic.

'Make sure that no one will notice our plan,' paalala niya rito.

'Noted'

Azumi then snaps her finger and all of the sudden, a ring of fire appeared around them. Ang ring fire na ginawa niya ay tila nag silbing pader sa palibot at nasa gitna sila niyon. She use it to hide them even for a couple of minutes.

Dagli siyang kumuha ng isang pirasong papel at ballpen para magsulat ng letter. It's a good thing na meron siya nito sa kaniyang storage ring.

Hello, this is Azumi.  As soon as you receive this letter, please gather all of our allies because the Dark King and his army have declared war on us.  We'll do our best to buy you some time, but we're not sure how long we can do this.  We're in Central City, by the way. Nakakahiya mang sabihin but we need all of you right now.

That is the content of her letter, which she handed to the eagle.

Erika then gives her order and allows the beast to vanish from their sight.  This is how fast her beasts are. 

She then removes the wall of fire that had surrounded them and returns her gaze to the Dark King. 

"So, do you now want to submit or do you still want to have fight with me?" 

She took a deep breath. If she could just use her true power, she could easily win this battle. But she can't.  Using her goddess power, her parents will appear.

Isa ito sa kondisyon na binigay sa kaniya ng kaniyang mga magulang. Once na natanggal na ang seal ay ito na rin ang magiging hudyat para umuwi na siya sa kaniyang totoong mundo.

"I sub-"

Akmang papayag na sana ito ng hawakan siya sa braso ni Yumi. Halatang Hindi ito sang-ayon sa kaniyang napagpasyahan.

"You don't need to do that."

She can see in Yumi's eyes that she's dead serious when she said that to her.

"Hindi mo kailangang isakripisyo ang sarili mo sa amin. You're our friend Azumi at isa pa hindi mo kailangang akuin ng mag-isa ang lahat ng ito. You still have us to rely on. Kaya naman kahit sa ayaw mo man o gusto, ilalaban namin ito hanggang dulo."
