“I can’t believe it’s the last day, its so heart breaking!” Danni complained as I got onto the bus.
“Calm it, woman, the day is only just beginning” I said making her shove me a little as I took a seat next to her. “What’s the gossip?” I asked everyone.
“Michael got in crap yesterday for not looking after his child properly again,”
“Quelle surprise,” I said letting my French flow into my every day talk, earning myself a few stares.
“What’s that suppose to mean?” Mark asked looking as lost as the rest.
“’What a surprise’ in French, you dumbasses. Don’t you know any French?” They all just looked at each other confused. “Seriously? I’m the youngest and thinking I’m the smartest one here,” I said honestly.
“We’re better than you at other things,” Mark defends everyone, who nodded in agreement.
“Like what?”
“We can read maps,” Craig said instantly, without even a thought.
“That’s just cruel, man,” I say, putting a hand over my heart in mock hurt. Danni just slaps my arm making us both laugh. We had become quite close this holiday.
“True though,” Mark added.
“Okay, just stop with insults now because I’m just going to beat you any day,” I said smugly with the added smile.
“Whatever,” was all I heard from both boys in reply. I checked my phone and saw I had like my 20th notification from Craig sending pokes to me from the past two days. It was timed at 2 minutes ago, making me turn around and see Craig listening to his music and looking out the window like he wasn’t even in this world. I clicked poke back, yet again, and turn back to face the front of the last long journey to the centre until summer time.
“Okay, are we doing another haunted house?” I asked as Zach went for the hut again. He turned and nodded his head smiling in a scary way, making me worry.
As we walked inside I saw the usual group of haunted house doers. Michael, unfortunately being one of them, looked up and got a strange look when he saw it was me who walked it. Being tired still, I stretch just as the doors slammed shut and brought us all into darkness. Before half a minute had passed by, I felt someone’s hands around my bare waist where my t-shirt had crept up during my stretching and another slamming over my mouth. My arms shot down and I kicked around hoping to break free from the pervert holding me. When I felt the person sit on the bench I wriggled more, but began to panic as the hand around my waist crept lower. Tears spilled over onto my cheeks, I panicked completely and finally got released, allowing me to make a run for the door which I threw open in a panic. As I rushed into the open group, with the sun beaming down meaning more people are outside, I see a few people turn and stare at me and Danni rushing over my direction.
“What just happened?” She asked holding my shoulders in worry. I didn’t answer but just broke down into sobs and leaned against her shoulder and let the tears fall.
