The crypt was especially frigid tonight. The air all throughout the castle hung heavy with the news of Wall Maria falling. Deep in the dark chamber, almost forgotten beneath the castle, stood a stone coffin. Unlike all the others it was in the center of the room, standing upright while the others were put on to shelves built into the crypt walls. The standing coffin had an inscription from the time of the First King.
"Here lies the eternally loyal servant of the First King, who shall always protect the Royal Families power." On the lid of this coffin was the First Kings seal, a simple symbol usually used as proof of official documents and decrees by the king. This one however, was the size of a large dinner plate, and appeared to be made of dried blood. Now though, the blood seal began to seep into the stone of the coffin. The coffins lid slowly fell away, revealing the mummified body within it

"What was that?" One of the guards of the castle dungeon looked to the other. Their expressions betraying the rather calm sound of their voices. "Sounded like it came out from the crypt. Let's go check." The two both stood up from their posts, walking down with their guns in hand.

The body slowly limped it's way to the door, letting out shaky breathes as it sniffed about for just a drop of blood.

The guards slowly walked to the door, opening it now. One screamed as the body fell on it, fangs finding his neck and sinking in. As he thrashed and screamed the other tried to get his gun on the body, but he and his gun suddenly fell to pieces. His lantern fell to the ground, briefly flashing light on thin wires that seemed to move on their own.
As the once mummified body pulled away and licked it's lips, the wires returned to the figure. As the young man stood up he sighed. "Finally. I can stretch myself out." The figure chuckled as it stepped over the carnage it left behind. The blood from the diced body flowing to him and getting absorbed.

The vampire stepped out into the moon light, looking up. He looked young, about fifteen or so. His hair was jet black, and a somewhat unkept mop. His clear blue eyes slitted as all vampires are. "Walter C. Dolnez. Just what have you woken up to?"
He asked himself, seeing what appeared to be a dragon flying in the cloudless sky. "No matter. I have a job to do." Walter sighed, using his wires to fling himself up and on to the castle roof. Landing gracefully he turned north.
Walters senses and instincts alike told him he'd find his new master that way. Leaping off the castle he began to zip past roof after roof. His wires flashing ever so slightly whenever he past through the moon light. He smiled to himself. Relishing the ability to go freely wherever he wanted once again.
