"What's a farm?" You asked Igneel as you two followed behind Frieda, the tall girl you'd seen transform into a Titan. "I think Dad said it's a place they grow things to eat. Apparently humans eat plants as well as meat." He whispered back. You and him still had to maintain the lie you were humans as well, since your father hadn't thought it a good idea to let them know what you were yet.
"So why are we headed for this random farm your family owns?" Igneel asked Frieda, increasing his step size to end up astride of her. "Hm? Oh just to visit someone." She smiled at him and you saw his blush come back for a moment.
You started to chuckle at him. "What's so funny Y/N?" He asked defensively. "You." You replied, still laughing as you hopped on to his back to sit on his shoulders. Climbing up you got comfortable, looking ahead.
"So how old are you Y/N?" Frieda asked, smiling kindly up at you. "I'm seven. Why?" Frieda shrugged. "I'm just trying to make conversation is all. And I know someone on the farm your age. You two could be friends if you want?" She offered up charitably. You tilted your head. "Friends? What's that?" You felt Igneel's grip tighten on your leg. You shouldn't have said that.
"You don't know what friends are?" Frieda asked, in rather justified shock. Igneel was quick to cover you. "Yeah, where we lived wasn't exactly nice compared to this place. We didn't really have friends." He kept a tight grip on your leg to prevent you from making this any worse.
"Oh. I'm quite sorry to hear that. Where did you used to live?" This time you covered Igneel, since you'd spent a good bit of your time looking at maps with your father. Meanwhile Igneel tended to hover around Frieda these days.
"The Underground." You stated simply. "Oh, that dreadful place. Well no wonder you poor things didn't have any friends." She held Igneel's arm comfortingly. You could have sworn you felt the blood going to his head as he kept looking forward, turning redder than you'd seen him. "Thank you Frieda." He managed to squeak out.

"Ok, from now on we stick to what we know." Igneel muttered to you as you followed Frieda to the farm. "Yeah. And you stick to turning redder than your hair everytime Frieda touches you." You chuckled, looking up at him as he glared at you. "I will." He growled.
"Hello Historia." Frieda said, walking over to a blond girl reading by a weird looking log made of some sort of dried grass. "What is that?" You asked Igneel, pointing at the pile. "Hay. Least I think that's what it is." The one benefit of Igneel talking up Frieda so much was that at least you could learn human things faster than with your cautious father.
"I brought you a friend to spend some time with today." Frieda told Historia, turning and gesturing for you to come over.
