"Just wait a little longer Asia, I'm coming to save you" Issei told himself. Everyone was running up thr stairs that lead to Diadora.

"What's the plan of attack?" Kiba asked out loud to everyone.

"I may not be much help at the moment, but I do have a plan, it's attack" Shane replied. Ravel groaned,

"Now isn't the time to have smartass remarks Shane"

They all continued towards the building in the sky, all worried about Asia. Once arrived, they were all met with people in robes waiting for them.

"It looks like you finally made it, with the help of someone else" Diadora started. He was nowhere to he found, but was communicating with magic. "No matter, it is time to start the game"

"The rating game for today has been canceled Diadora, you should've already known that" Rias calmly said while crossing her arms.

"Yes, but if you want to save your precious Asia, then you will play my game. Without the help of the Shane's group" Diadora replied.

"Doesn't matter dickwad! Come out and face us coward!" Issei yelled.

"I will, if you defeat my peerage. Here are the paths. On the right side, you have my eight pawns and two rooks. On the left side, you have my queen and bishops. Choose your pieces wisely Rias, but without the help of Shane, even though he's useless at the moment" Diadora replied. Shane heard the last part and was pissed, but he was correct.

Ravel looked at her King in sadness, but Rias started to place her pieces.

"Issei, Koneko, Gasper, and Xenovia, you take care of the right side. Akeno, Kiba and I will take care of the Queen and Bishops"

"Right!" Issei yelled, but Gasper interrupted.

"But it's ten against four. We are going to lose!" He said in fear. Kiba put a hand on his shoulder to reassured him.

"Issei takes up Rias' eight pawns. You all will do just fine, trust Issei"

"As much as I hate his perverted ways, Kiba is correct" Koneko added.

As if on que, they all were teleported away, leaving Ravel and Shane behind. Shane was looking towards the ground with his hands clenched.

"Useless" that word echoed in his mind. As much as he wanted to deny it, it was the honest truth. Without Venom, or the powers SirZechs granted him, he's nothing. He was tired, he didn't ask for this life. It was crazy that a simple girl and symbiote drove him this far.

"Hey" Ravel started, she interrupted his thoughts.

"Yeah?" Shane answered without looking at her. She could only sigh,

"You're regretting becoming a devil aren't you?" She asked worriedly.

Shane looked at her with strict eyes, but they softened, "just regretting making decisions so quickly without thinking things through. Overall, no. I wouldn't be where I am or met the people I have now if I refused. It just sucks, went from being somebody to fear to a useless devil"

Ravel put her hand on his back, "you're not useless. What happened to you was unlucky. Not your fault for being sent to another world and given something that you don't know how to control at the moment. You're a leader, you put yourself in harm's way to protect the ones you care about. You're there to support others in what they do."

"Thanks Ravel," Shane replied with a smile.

"I respect your relationship with Irina, but I have to tell you this. If I don't, these bottled up feelings will cause a problem and with you being the King and having a great relationship with the three factions, I can't mess that up"
