chapter 4:)the blood in my veins

I head  straight into the shower allowing the hot water run through my bun releasing it from the band and allowing all the thoughts to be washed over ,feeling every drop of the hot water on my skin ,I let out a huge sigh and step out of the shower quickly grabbing a towel and stepping into my closet ,after a few moments I settled on black tights and a plain white t-shirt and throw myself on the bed ..
I was gonna start with my homework but my eyelids were too heavy so I just blacked out

I woke up with a loud knock on my door  and it was slightly getting darker from my window and my mom never came home this time ,she really do work hard to provide me with whatever i wish to have ,

Anyways i rushed out of bed opening the door ..only realising now that it was locked revealing my mom still in formal and heels ,she probably just got back from work..

"Hey honey ..u got me worried there not answering your calls and got home with your bedroom locked are u alright?

Yes mom ,why not ..I'm perfectly fine after seeing a ghost of my dad I said sarcastically with a smirk

"Sigh!I'm sorry  babey ..can u come down to my room ..I would like to show you something. .please.."

Ohkay....,
I quickly followed after her to her room well it's not far from my room but with her pace I could feel the tension in the air so what better way than to just go with the flow ...if I'm gonna get all the answers I need .,this isn't the time for ignorance

Reaching her room she looked at me and her lips in a thin line and gestured for me to sit and i did just that sitting at the far corner of her bed while she seats on her couch

"Tasha I know I made a mistake but at the time I didn't think it was.. because I love you so much and I would do absolutely anything to protect you"

"Yeah mom ,so what is the truth?, don't you think I deserve to know?"

"You do honey and especially now that he is back"

"wait ...mom so what you saying is if he didn't come back you would never have told me the truth?"

"No  of course not,
i mean I would have told you but not now alright ,I just never thought you were in the right stage for me to be telling you all this I want you to understand me and I'm also scared that you will hate me for that..."

"mom I would never hate you and you know that ,I love you and I want to hear why u kept the truth from me just why..?"

."I was seventeen when I met your father ,it was at a park in Florida and i remember that day very clearly it was getting dark when my sight caught a pair of electric blue eyes in front of me  and he said that he thought i might need some company since I was alone for almost two hours u know my mind was kind of occupied with my parents constantly fighting at home and at the same time all the abuse and we started talking ,exchanged numbers and we later started going out...

There was this something that was very strange about him
I never ever met his family well except his brother ,of course he met my mom and my sisters but with an absent father well yea..we were teenagers in love and we weren't even in the same schools  ,well as time went by when I was eighteen I fell pregnant ,I was a senior in high school and my mom couldn't have any of it she was so disappointed and when I told him,your father he disappeared for a week and when he got back there was fear in his eyes and he told me that his parents would like to meet me ..

I obviously agreed and went with him on a particular evening for dinner ..there was so much security around the house it was scary and uncomfortable well seeing all these guards  with guns everywhere...

I obviously knew that this is gonna be a very difficult night and well I was right it was ..I met his father David kenilson and his mother Anne Mary kenilson..they seemed lovely at first like so warm heartened that I wondered why your father never brought me here before...so i asked Delvin about all ,the guards and the whole room became tense .,no one uttered a word and my suspicions rose ..

Mom is my father's name "The Delvin Kenilson"?
Yes dear he is..,,so why didn't he want me?
"A little bit of patience will help you okay "my mom said"

Well after that awkward dinner with your father's parents and his other brother his brother was asked to go out and we headed to what they call the family room apparently to talk about my situation...

Everyone I thought was lovely ,was now scary as hell, well except for your father he kept reassuring me that its all gonna be alright I should just go with it..,

QDavid threw himself   on the luxurious chair while Anne remained standing ,your dad  and i sat next to each other on the sofa ,

his father gave us a proposal for your dad to stay out of the country for fifteen years ,he can of course handle the businesses from there  since he is the older son and he can come when he have to but he had to cut all ties with me in those years and i move on with my life or ..umm i do an abortion and we can just carry on like nothing happenned

And obviously none of us wanted to kill our baby as much as we loved  each other we just couldn't  ,..both  of us wanted to get rid of the pregnancy so we had to sacrifice us for you...he does love you otherwise he  would have talked me into getting rid of you."

"Mom you know what!I'm going insane this doesn't make any sense, why did you two have to choose?"

Your father's  family was involved ummm with the,...mmm ..mafia..and it was so unsafe for there to be a child since there was an opposing gang looking for revenge on your father's family at the time and we couldn't risk anything that could have happenned to you ,your own uncle was raised with much difficulty that he never even knew what it means to be in a normal school or to just walk around without having several guards around him..

So here we are fifteen years later though I never expected him to have anything to do with you he is here for you now and i can't stop him.."

"Will he,take me?

" It's your choice sweetheart ,but you have to carry on with you studies ..Im sorry for deceiving you  but i  never regret to have protected you and kept you alive even if it means loosing my true love.."

"No dont apologise I understand it's just a lot to take in ..,
Atleast now I know the blood in my veins is mafia blood and i get to meet him..."

Tasha,wil you do something for me babey?"

" yes ,what...?"

" Let's have dinner I bought Chinese "

...of course ,my stomach now making funny noises I rushed downstairs into the kitchen and maybe just for tonight I will be normal
