A Merry Christmas

A/N I know that it is no where near Christmas yet! I had read a similar one-shot and really wanted to write my own!

"Daddyyyyy!!! Where areeeee youuuuuuuuu!" My four year old daughter calls as I push open my front door. She toddles out from the living-room with her thumb in her mouth and blanket in her other hand. "Mummyyyyyy!" She squeals, running over to me.

She throws her arms around my legs in a big hug and I smile widely. "Hey Dylan!" I gather her up into my arms and tickle her sides. She squirms in my arms and giggles loudly, saying through her laughs, "Mummy! Stop! It tickles!!" I laugh at her and stop tickling her, instead placing kisses all over her face. "Kiss." She demands, pointing to her lips, and I give her a small peck on the lips.

Dylan was always a stubborn child, and as much as we both denied it, it came from both Bellamy and I. She was also very demanding, but regardless, so cute!

I place her down on the floor and she giggles, pointing to the door to the kitchen, "Found you!!" Bellamy chuckles and makes his way over to us.

"Hey Dylan. You know how mummy just tickled you?" Bellamy asks, and Dylan nods vigoursly. "Well, how about you watch this!" And with that, Bellamy picks me up from my thighs and tickles me playfully. I squeal and wrap my arms around his neck, trying to not fall on my ass. "Bell!" I shout, swatting his back to get him to stop tickling me.

He stops, but doesn't let me go; he just smiles his huge smile that lights up his whole face. "Kiss." I say friskily, pointing to my lips. He reaches forward and kisses me passionately, as if he was saying "Hello my beautiful wife, I missed you today."

"Awh! Daddy! You aren't supposed to give mummy a big kiss!" Dylan says, opening her arms out widely. Bellamy places me back down on the floor and wraps his arm around my waist, us both watching Dylan as she toddles into the living room again.

"Hey. How was work today?" He asks looking down to me. "Good. A couple of burns from cooking Christmas dinners, but other than that no breaks or any over the top accidents." I worked as a nurse in A&E you see, and normally when I came home I was quite stressed. But today, I was more than ready to enjoy my break.

I hang up my coat and flip my shoes off. "Dylan kept bugging me to play hide and seek all day, and just before I finally gave in she said, 'Well, you know daddy. You wouldn't have to play if I had a sister.' She's a smart kid babe. Definitively yours!"

I chuckle and start heading up the stairs. "Oh!" I stop, and turn around to face Bellamy, only just remembering what I had to tell him. "My mum popped down from upstairs earlier. She said her, Kane and Charlotte will be over around 10. We somehow have to pry her, " I pause and point to the living room, "Off the presents long enough!" Bellamy nods his head and makes his way into the kitchen, as I make my way back up the stairs.

I get changed into my pjamas and head down into the kitchen, watching as Bellamy stirred over our dinner. I walk over to him and wrap my arms tightly around his waist and hum in delight, "This smells amazing! What are we having tonight?" "Ratatouille. I found my old recipe and thought that seeming as our Christmas is such a big holiday this year, we should have a bigger Christmas eve dinner." I smile up at him and place a chaste kiss on his back, then pry myself from him to set the table.

"Dylan! Dinner baby!" I call out, and clip her chair onto one of the table chairs. Because she was so little, we had to buy her a booster chair when she out-aged her high chair so that she could sit with us at the dinner table.

Bellamy starts to dish out our meals as Dylan walks in slowly. "Come on baby. If you don't eat your dinner on time and go to bed, then Santa is going to be late!" As I say that Dylan's eyes pop, and she runs over and clambers up onto her chair. Bellamy and I look at each other and try not to laugh, at which we fail.
