Minho groaned as he woke up to three cats meowing loudly in his ear. He had fallen asleep on the couch to take a nap out of boredom.

"What do you guys want?" he spoke to the small animals as they continued to meow at him.
He stood up and stretched, making sure not to bump into his pets. He made his way to the kitchen to check their food bowls and found them all empty.

"You guys are just hungry then?" he questioned to the cats.

They simply stared up at him, not understanding what he said, since they were only cats, but still looking at him with adoration.

"Hold on," he mumbled as he moved to the cabinets and opened the one on the end.

He pulled out a large box and checked inside it.

"Damn, you're out of food," he said as he shook the box, a few tiny crumbs hitting the sides.

He threw the box away and headed to the front door, the cats following him like they were his ducklings and he was the momma duck.

"I'll be back in a little while, I'll get you some more food," he said as he patted them all on the head before slipping on his shoes and grabbing his keys.

He slipped out, making sure none of them followed behind him before he locked the door. He sighed as he looked around him.

He had to go into town to get the food. He lived just outside it in a secluded area. He loved living in the forest away from people, but he hated that he had to walk all the way into town just to get his groceries.

He began his walk, following a path he had marked himself as a shortcut into town. He reached the bridge that was built over a river that split the town where he lived in half. Despite it being a small area, the river flowed about forty feet beneath the bridge, making it a scary drop if you were to fall.

Minho always hated heights, so he made sure to look straight forward as he walked across the narrow bridge. He made it across, releasing his breath and heading onwards. He finally made it to the main shopping center.

Many people walked along the street, making the claustrophobic boy extremely uncomfortable. He pushed his way through until he finally made it to his favorite pet store.

They always had a few crates in the front with small kittens that excitedly meowed at you when you entered the store. He smiled as he walked up to one of the crates and crouched down, petting a few small calico kittens that had run up to the edge of the crate as if to say hello.

"Minho! Haven't seen you in a while!" the store owner said as he walked out from the back.

"Chan, how have you been?" Minho asked as he stood up.

"Pretty good, we missed you down here. You never come across the bridge anymore," Chan said with a pout.

"I know, but it's so peaceful up there, you can't blame me," Minho said with a smile.

Chan nodded before turning around and heading behind the counter.

"Here for the usual?" Chan asked as he pulled out a large box of cat food as well as a small bag of catnip.

"Of course, you know me so well," Minho replied as he pulled out his wallet.

"No, put that away, it's on me," Chan said as he rang up the two items.
