"What the- hey Minho. Look at this." Chan said. The eight boys sat at 'their' lunch table eating... well, lunch.
Chan handed Minho his phone. Minho read out loud.
"Han strikes again. After disappearing 17 years ago the famous murderer Han Jeongmyuk makes a comeback by brutally murdering a store clerk. The cops that got his case years ago are certain this wasn't a copycat. What is all this hyung?"
"Look at the picture."
Minho scrolled further down, his eyes widened.
"J-Jisung? No, it can't be him."
——
"This has nothing to do with him Minho."
"The guy in the picture looks exactly like him!"
Minho was arguing with Mrs.han. He knew something was wrong and he had to know he truth. There is a man in the newspaper who looks identical to Jisung and it couldn't be a coincidence.
"Mrs.Han, please. I know you're not telling me something."
"It's none of your concern Minho."
"Uhm, I think it is!"
Mrs.Han grabbed Minho's wrist and pulled him close to make a clear statement.
"You can't mention any of this to Jisung. It's for his own safety."
"But-"
"No buts. Jisung won't hear about this. Understood?"
"Yes." Minho answered sadly and then went to the infamous backyard where Jisung was waiting for him.
Jisung's smile slowly faded when Minho got closer to him.
"Minho, are you okay? You look sad."
"I'm fine." Minho smiled softly. "Don't worry about me."
——
It was 10pm, both Minho and Jisung were getting ready to go to bed. Jisung was in his bedroom looking out the window whilst waiting for Minho to finish washing up.
He saw a man taking a late night stroll. Dressed in all black and with his hands in his pockets he walked down the street. Jisung turned away when he realised he was staring at the stranger. What he didn't see was that that man had stopped walking too.
Jisung sat down on his bed and waited. Minho was taking an awfully long time in the bathroom. Maybe that's why he's so good looking, Jisung thought. The silence in the room was disturbed by a tapping sound. Jisung went towards where the sound was coming from and saw the man from before tapping on his window. He fell from getting startled by the big creepy man behind the window.
The man smiled at Jisung and waved. He motioned for the boy to open the window. Jisung thought the man wasn't dangerous looking but his hands were still shaking when he slowly opened the window.
The man's smile faded into a confused expression when Jisung opened the window.
"You're not Jeongmyuk."
"Who?"
"Step aside Jisung!" Jisung turned around to see his mother who had just entered the room.
"Marie! Nice to see you again."
"You know that is not my name. Leave my son alone."
"Oh that's your son?." The man pointed at Jisung. "He looks an awful lot like his dad."
"Leave, Hector."
"That's not my name Marie." The so called Hector said. "I'll come back later to talk to you." He said and then got out of the window frame and continued his stroll.
Jisung turned to his mother.
"Mom, what was that?"
