How I Met Colby Brock

New Beginning (Part 12)

Kaylee's POV

It has been about 6 months. Colby is doing a lot better now. We have both come to terms with what happened. We are moving out of our apartment and moving into a house with Sam, Kat, Jake and Tara. Devyn and Corey are living with us as well but they are living in the finished basement. It is the new trap house. Yes we still call it the trap house. We have started to pack and getting ready to move into the house in a couple weeks. Colby and I are getting the biggest bedroom it is has a walk in closet and a bathroom. Sam and Kat, Jake and Tara are right down the hall from us. Colby and I packed a lot today so we decided to go bring some boxes over. Everyone else was moved in already but Colby and I are taking a little bit longer to move in. It is gonna be a hard transition because this is where Jade lived her life while she was with us. We brought the last of the boxes to our house and then went back to the apartment to say goodbye. We walked in and I felt tears streaming down my face. Colby then hugged me from behind whispering in the ear. "Everything is going to be okay, I love you baby, always." "Always." I replied back. We then walked out and went home. We decided to have a family movie night since it was our first night together in the house. We all sat down and agreed on a scary movie. Friday the 13th. We finished that movie and then we started to watch final destination. Half way through the movie Sam and I look at each other and laugh realizing we are the only ones up. I look to down to see Colby cuddled up to my side with his head on my shoulder, while he slightly snores. Colby and I were on the big bean bag chair while everyone else was on the couch. After awhile I saw Sam's head fall onto Kat and then I was the only one up. I put my head on top of Colby's and then felt my self drifting off to sleep. I woke up to someone tapping me. It was Sam. "K come on get up, our flight to Ireland is in two hours remember?" "Oh shit that's right. Sorry." I yelled but at the same time trying to wake up Colby. I brushed his face with my hand and smiled. "Baby you gotta get up." "Mhm." was all I got out of him. "Bubba let's go, you can sleep on the plane." "No." was all I got. "Colby come on baby, I'll let you sleep on my shoulder on the plane."
I said persuasively. His eyes then open slightly and he smirks. "Okay I'm up now, sound like a deal." We get ready and rush out of the house. We then take an Uber to the airport and then get through security. We run to our gate just in time to get on the plane. We sit down and look around we are all next to each other and then we all laugh, cause there is like 6 of us. Colby, Jake, Tara, Sam, Kat, Corey, and I were going to Ireland. Colby then rests his head on me shoulder. Sam was on the other side of me with Kat next to him and then the others were next to Colby. Colby's head kept falling so I put the arm rest up that was in between us and laid him down on top of my legs. Sam looked at me and laughed. "He loves you so much Kaylee, you make him so happy and thank you for that." "No problem." I replied back as I laid on his shoulder. I heard him say something but I was drifting off to sleep before he could even finish. I then feel something being put on me I open my eyes slightly and see a jacket on me and a blanket on Colby. I close my eyes again and fall back to sleep. I am woken up by Colby tapping me and talking to me with his strong, yet tired raspy deep voice. "Baby we landed time to get up." I pick up my head and realize everyone is now up. We walk off the plane and get into the rental car we got a van so we could all fit in one car. We then drive to the hotel and get our rooms we got two rooms that were connect with two beds in one and a bed and a couch in the other. Jake, Tara, Aaron and Corey would take the room with the couch and Sam, Kat, Colby and I were taking the other room. We got settled in and chilled for a bit and then went to go to an abandoned asylum. We get there it is pitch black. We decided to spilt up in groups of two or three. I go with Colby. We start walking and Colby goes a little bit ahead of me. We were there for about an hour or two. We hear Sam and Kat scream. Colby runs down the stairs I follow but as I go to go down the stairs they collapse. I instantly feel the staircase fall from under me. I then feel a sharp pain in the back and stomach and ringing in my ears. I faintly hear Colby yelling my name. I see the rest of the group rush over. "OH SHIT." I faintly hear Aaron say. "What are we gonna do!" I hear Corey say. "Guys I'm okay I just hit my head...I'm good I just need some ice."

Colby's POV

 "Kaylee, Baby no keep your eyes open okay keep them open for me, you hear me just try to stay awake for a little so I know you are okay." "Bro what happened to you." When I was walking down the stairs they collapsed with Kaylee and I both on it. I hit the wood pillar at the bottom and busted up my eyebrow and hand. Kaylee has woke up and was discharged right away. We then went home and went to bed. Kaylee fell asleep first. She must have been exhausted. We went to another abandoned place the next day. I told Kaylee to stay at the hotel but she insisted on coming. I was gonna pull a prank on all of my friends tonight. I am gonna fall and hit my head really hard. I pretend to fall and I hear Sam and Kaylee crying while they hold me. Jake and Corey knew about the prank so they didn't actually call the ambulance. "It's just a prank guys" I say sitting up laughing. "I fucking hate you" Sam says wiping the tears off of his cheeks.  "Let's just go back to the hotel." Kaylee says laughing.
