He pulled me closer and I caught a whiff of his cologne. I immediately recognized it.

Jake?

He must not know it is me.

He grabbed me and pulled me close, and we began dancing. I felt his body heat, radiating through me. I rested on his chest, letting the music take me.

It was like we were meant to be. I was floating on a dream.

Suddenly, he lifted my head and put his lips against mine. I kissed his warm mouth, and it made me feel so good and needed. We kissed, and it felt so right. I was in heaven.

Suddenly the lights flickered on.

The.

Lights.

Came.

On.

And in the middle of our kiss, Jake opened his eyes.

"Roseanna, will you go out with me?" He asked.

What did he just say to me? Did he just ask me out? I can believe it!

"Yes, yes!" I said breathlessly.

He smiled at me. "I knew I grabbed you. I've always liked you."

I was stunned. "You have! So have I! I've loved you since my seventh birthday!"

"Same here."

I couldn't believe it! This was my dream! I wanted Jake to be my boyfriend. That day finally came!

"So wanna go out to Lindo's tomorrow? I'll pay," He said with a gleam in his eye.

Even though I was the richest girl in the school, he still offered to pay.

"Sure! But you don't have to pay," I told him.

"Great! I'll pick you up at 7:00 sharp."

"Okay, see you then!"

I left the party on cloud nine. Jake had just asked me out! I've been in love with him all my life. I'm so glad he felt the same about me!

I flopped on my bed eager to have some sleep.

"Roseanna! I love you!" Jake said running towards me.

We ran towards each other with open arms then suddenly, Dave got in the way.

"Move Dave!" I yelled.

"No! You belong with me!"

"No I want Jake!" I screamed.

Suddenly Dave ran up and shoved me in a black bag.

Is he kidnapping me?

"Haha, now I can use you like I've always wanted to!" I heard him say, carrying my into his car.

"No! Wait Jake! I'm to young! Please I can't die like this!"

"No, I won't kill you. Using you is better," he said.

I felt a fist connecting with my face as my world went black.

"No! No!"

I woke up sweating and panting. What's wrong with me?

Calm down Roseanna. It was just a dream.

Was that dream true? Is that my future?

I started getting ready for my date with Jake. I was planning to wear a cute halter top and pencil skirt.

I went to the bathroom to do my makeup. I put on a swig of mascara and a little lip gloss.

A knock at front door sent me flying down the stairs and into the arms of Jake.

He was wearing a nice suit and tie, which made my heart melt.

"Hey Jake!" I said while climbing in.

"Hey Rose. You look beautiful today," he said.

I couldn't help but blush. Jake was so sweet sometimes.

"You look handsome today too."

"So have you really liked me since you were seven?" Jake questioned.

"Yes, I was to scared to tell you. I was afraid you wouldn't like me back."

A look of shame and guilt crossed his face.

"Yeah, I was scared to tell you too," he said.

I couldn't tell if he was lying or not. I assumed he wasn't and I hope I'm right.

We made it to Lindo's and got down.

We chose a booth close to the window and began ordering.

"I'll have the double bacon cheesburger," Jake ordered.

"Same for me too," I said.

When we got our food, it looked so good, but unless afraid to have something seen in my teeth.

Jake was chowing down so I copied him. I took a big bite and surprisingly, it was good.

"So do you come here often?" I asked Jake.

"Yup, my parents used to bring me here a lot. But now I'm busy with school and stuff so I don't come as often."

"I haven't really been before, but this is good." I mentioned.

After eating we walked down to the beach, hand in hand.

"How do you get love so easily?" I suddenly asked.

"What do mean?" He asked.

"You always get the girls. I wonder how you do it," I said.

"Oh, I don't really know. Just talk to a lot of people I guess."

"Oh okay."

He leaned in and lightly kissed my cheek before heading back to the car.

Jake was so dreamy. I really love him.
