"I know I fucked up." Alice sobbed from within the prison cell- the other inmates were calling and screaming from their own cells. Some mourning and some cheering for the elderly prisoner that lay colorless and still on the concrete floor.

"I never should have let this happen. You're sick, Alice. You need help!" Asher swallowed the lump in his throat and looked away from the scene and from her.

"Then help me! Don't let me rot in here!" Her eyes were wide with fear and held a certain instability. Asher knew, however, that she would suffer more where he'd have to take her in the end. She needed a chance to redeem herself. She needed time.

"Don't look at me like that. Don't!" Her hand reached out trying to grab his hand directly, trying to die before facing consequences and live her life confined. The kill beside her had solidified her longer sentence.

"Asher, please don't leave me in here!" she begged, ignoring the inmates who now quietly watched in mixes of concern, confusion, and repulsion at her screams to no one in particular.

"You're sick, Alice." He said more calmly. "I'm not going to ruin you anymore. Even without touching you, I've done enough damage." He quickly took hold of the waiting soul and faded as quickly as he'd appeared with a final, "You can thank me later."
