- After Regan slept to clear her mind.. -

I sat in the room 'Juliet' had shown me to, I was in a corner with the picture in my hands. They did hurt me.. They hurt me many times.. The people at school added to that.. David never helped.. He was never there. I was alone.

Maybe these men--Demons.. Are right.. They would protect me... Wait.. That doesn't sound completely right. Demons don't protect, they destroy.. Well, that's what the Christian bible said. Maybe they're wrong.. Demons could be good? And Angels could be bad... That sounds crazy.. It can't be true..

I have to hold on to what I believe.. The Mother is the only kindness I truly know..

"Dea, te erue me.." (Latin: Goddess, please save me..) I prayed over and over, cradling myself in a ball.

I heard the window open and close loudly, I looked up and saw the window locked shut. No one was in this room.. "Mother, help me.." I said, lost for words. The window had opened and closed, then it had locked itself..

Alexandru's P.O.V.

"Sir, is your new pet attending dinner?" Lisa, the cooks assistant, asked.

"If she wants.." I said distractedly, flipping through my folders for that one thing my friend, Areez, needs.

"Of course, sir.. Forgive me for disturbing you.." Lisa bowed her head.

"Yes, you are forgiven.. And dismissed." I said. "Ah, there you are." I slipped the paper out and looked through it as Lisa left.

I folded the paper neatly and wrote Areezs' name onto it before calling a crow over to my window, it took the folded paper and flew off. That should help Areez' problems.

I stared out the window, I think I heard the window in the guest room Regan was staying at open and close harshly. She didn't..

I hurried out of my study and went down the stairs in a flash and opened the door to see Regan against the wall with her hands over her mouth, the window was locked completely. "Regan? What happened?" I asked, walking in and closing the door behind me.

"It-it opened.. And closed, i-it locked by itself.." Regan explained, she was shaking all over.

"Come over here, I'll take a look.." I instructed, she did and I walked over and tried to unlock it. It wouldn't budge.. "Hmm." I looked around the outside of the window and saw no one. "Alright.. Well, Regan. No one is in here, nor outside. Dinner will be ready soon, maybe that'll calm you down." I said, turning back to Regan. Whom had calmed down somewhat.

"O-okay.." Regan said, holding her arms around herself. The photograph wasn't there anymore.

"Alright, then. Come with me." I said, guiding Regan out of the guest room and down a hallway and staircase.

"So.. Demons eat food?" Regan asked nervously.

"From time to time, we don't need human food. But it does get a little boring without it." I explained.

"Not to mention, human food is delicious. Well.. Not as delicious human --" Jasper was saying when me and Regan got to the kitchen.

"Jasper." I interrupted.

"Wha-- oh, right.." Jasper muttered.

"Oh, so the pet is attending dinner, masters?" The cook asked.

"Yes, she is." I answered.

Regan didn't ask questions this time, I guess she didn't want to know the answers. We all sat at the large, dark mahogany table and was served the dinner. "Masters, today is vegetable curry with rice.." The cook, Lukas, said in a shaky voice.

"Ah, good.. Good." Jasper said, digging in carelessly. Even though he has a job up in the castle with Lucifers brother, Martin..

Regan seemed to be enjoying the food on her plate.. Except she seemed to be searching for something within it. "Are you enjoying the curry?" I asked.

"Yes." Regan piped, looking up at me and then the food.

"What are you searching for?" I chuckled.

"Oh.. Um.. I'm vegetarian.." She muttered.

"That's alright, Lukas make a note of that." I ordered.

"Yes, sir. Right away, sir." Lukas said as he hurried and stumbled to make a reminder.

"Oh, you're vegetarian?" Jasper said. "Tell me, how are you not skin and bones?" He laughed

"Uh.. I eat alternatives.. Tofu or something.." Regan muttered, she was sitting very still. A little terrified, I guess I should have a small talk with Jasper before he leaves to the castle..

"Huh, I guess that how your not like most human girls.. They're dying to die, I tell you Alex.." Jasper chuckled as he put his focus to the curry once more.

"Well, there isn't any meat in the curry. So don't worry.." I reassured.

"Okay.." Regan said, sighing just a small bit in relief as she went back to the food in front of her.

We're making some progress in her getting used to this, I can tell.. I don't want her soul to become corrupted like all those humans up there..
