Chapter two: new encounters

Previously on in the Dark:

"This was something her mother warned her about."

Alison stared at the stranger in front of her. She has not seen anyone else in the woods for all the time she has been alive. Well obviously she has seen people examples were her parents and Jocelyn but never anyone else but her mother had warned her about people. They didn't like others who were different.

The man looked at her with a crinkle in his brows and curiosity in his eyes.

"How did you manipulate two elements at once?" His voice was deep and laced with confusion.

Alison quickly stood up and backed away slowly. She thought about what to say but nothing entered her mind.

"I....I..don't know." She managed to get out. Her voice was so small and she hated it.

Two more men appeared from behind him.The one said something to him and he nodded before looking back at her.

The Man walked towards Alison then grabbed her forearms and started dragging her with him.

She tried to get away. The next thing she knew he was flung into a tree trunk

Alison knew that she caused this so she ran. Her chest burned, her feet ached but she was to scared to stop. When she saw her house in a distance she ran even faster.

As soon as she was in the house she sat down on the floor with her head in her knees . This must've awoken Jocelyn because she came running like a lunatic with the tree branch she always keeps under her bed. 

"Ali? Why were you outside? What happened to you?" Alison didn't even listen to the words that Jocelyn had spoken for just as she had finished her sentence a howl echoed through the forest outside followed by more.

Jocelyn gave Alison a knowing look before rushing off and closing the windows while Alison stood there like a deer in headlights.

Just as Jocelyn was about to close another, the front door violently swung open almost breaking the hinges.

"Ali! hide!Go!" Jocelyn whisper yelled while Alison ducked under the staircase. this was probably the second fastest thing she had ever done. 

There was a short silence before a horrifying scream was heard in the quiet house. 

"N-" Alison cut herself off by slapping her hand in front of her mouth.

 What did they do to Jocelyn?

Tears rolled down her cheeks. She screwed her eyes shut.

Footsteps grew closer and closer while Alison's heartbeat accelerated but when she reopened her eyes she was met by forest green pupils staring into her soul.

 He smirked then whispered in a menacing voice

"Found you." 

The man with the forest green eyes grabbed Alison by the wrists and yanked her up then,once again pulled her along with him out the door. She kicked and screamed but he had an inhuman grip on her wrists and she knew that there was going to be bruises afterwards.

As soon as she saw Jocelyn she stopped.  This once again was her fault.

For all she knew these people,things whatever they were could take them to who knows where and do who knows what with them. They saw what she did earlier on in the woods and they didn't seem to react well. What if they found out about what happened with her parents they would certainly kill her on the spot.

Alison thought that she always has caused trouble for the people around her. 

They were about to start dragging them again when Alison spoke up.

"Wait! We...we will go with you but we can walk on our own. Please." Her voice was hoarse from all the screaming.

"Very well then but just know that if you run or try anything.." he said and released his deathly grip from her wrists.

The man holding Jocelyn grunted before letting go of her.

They walked for quite some time.The only thing that could be heard was the leaves and sticks cracking under their feet as they walked. Every time Alison walked a bit slower one of the two men behind her and Jocelyn would push her forward and she was getting irritated.

She knew she had to get Jocelyn out of this mess somehow but the only way was to use her abilities. She didn't want to do it but she had to.

Her eyes focused on her feet while she blocked everything out  and continued walking. Alison had one goal and that was to get Jocelyn away even if it meant she couldn't. Jocelyn has done so much for her and she could never be be more grateful than she was now.

The men all fell to their knees clutching their heads in pain. It was working but Alison could feel her control slipping away quickly.

"Jocelyn go" She whispered and when she looked back Jocelyn was gone.Was her mind playing tricks on her because no way a person could ever move so fast.

Alison shook the thought out of her mind and looked back at the men. She felt really bad so she stopped,turned around then ran once again and this time she didn't  make the same mistake to stop again.

Alison knew she would be caught again but she tried at least. Her fragile body was pushed to the ground out of nowhere then picked up and held against a tree.

"You didn't think you could actually get away did you?" He laughed

"Whats your name?" 

Alison kept her mouth shut and looked away.

An animalistic growl erupted from the back of his throat and his eye darkened to an almost pitch black color.

"Alison! Its Alison what....what's y-you-rs?" She was truly terrified now

He chuckled lightly at her fear and shook his head.

"Luca"He shortly replied searching her eyes for something.

"What are you?" Alison Mumbled mostly to herself but he must've heard it because he answered.

"Something you should be terrified of...."
